X1 is a long way from making money..please.

I must say i am an Xbox Gamer from Scratch - but thanks to my Bro, who brought me a PS4 as a Gift from his Time with Sony America as he came back around Home to Europe, for the First Time ever i put my Hands on a Sony Device (yes literally Never Had anything from Sony before), and now i own Both of them Next Gen Consoles, which is of course a Situation many Gamers would like to have.
But i have to take care of my wallet so i'm not planing to have two Subscriptions in the Future.

I love my PS4 - a sleek, silent Black Beauty - no power brick - no useless Camera standing around catching dust.
It's the next Hot Thing to have right now and may rescue a all around not so well performing Company which Sony is at the Moment.

I like my Xbox One - a not so sleek, but silent Black Beauty - Power brick, ok and Camera (Kinect) is catching Dust in the Box.

Now First Look i'd go with Sony at the Moment

BUT

Sony, really - i've played two games so far, Knack (coz i got the Bundle) and InFamous Second Son, which both are mediocre at best. I can't wait for Uncharted 4 and Maybe The Order 1886.
at this Point in Time not nearly anything to play.

AND

On Sony's PS4 no options to customize anything at all. No Apps (IGN and VidZone are the Only two Apps). No Avatars, no Option to change colours. Very Basic Gaming Device

Different Thing here when my Xbox One get's started - much, much more content - to be honest i don't Need half of the stuff.

So Easy Choice for me to subscribe again for XBL.

Xbox One for mostly Gaming, Multiplayer and chatting with Friends, watching TV from time to Time

PS4 for offline Gaming and playing some of the One, two Sony exclusive Masterpieces per year

and just about every multiplat since it runs better or at high frame rate no ? im only buying exclusives for x1, PS4 is the muli plat console of chocie for me.  Unless some 10 a game deal pops up, cant pass that up.  

So much BS and nonsense in 1 thread...Threre is more content on PS4 currently.....and PS434 does a lot more then a simple game device it has more features then x1. although it is a gaming device and thats what it should focus on...Not like x1 has any real good exclusives yet either. But ps4 has more.

Also foolish, people dont play just exclusives. PS4 has a sleeker faster OS, more features like Streaming games, Preloading, 3d support first, twitch first..What content doesd x1 have?? Snap?? Sorry I dont buy you have both because your post reeks of fanboy dribble.

The extra gimmicks the x1 concentrated on people don;t want or need, thus there 180's and bad sales......As a gaming device ps4 trumps x1 easily and the other nonsense x1 dis MS has turned away from realiseing people don't need useless gimmicks/

Sorry, but I have a hard time believing that there is "nothing to play" on your PS4.  If you owned one, you would know that there are over NINETY games available on it, RIGHT NOW...you should be able to find SOMETHING you like in a list that large!  Also, If you owned a PS4, you would know that they have more than those two apps.  I am looking at the store right now and I see the following:

Your argument is flawed at best...

But you don't know how much money MS invested into the X1, do you? MS invested a lot of R&D into the Kinect and for what? For the peripheral to be unbundled only 7 months later. Not to mention, the manufacturing cost of the Kinect is possibly almost as much as the standalone system. That's a lot of money wasted.

It's even worse considering that the X1 isn't selling that well, either. It's about to be outpaced by the 360 and eventually, the PS3, too. The X1 can make a comeback, but MS will have to invest A LOT of money into exclusives, whether they be moneyhats, 1st parties, whatever. However, investors will not like this and MS will be unwilling to do that anyways. We could be seeing MS treating the X1 similar to how Sony treats the Vita: just take whatever profits you can make from these systems without doing anything and run.

We will see what Happens this Christmas. With a Halo launching it will make all the Halo fans, or not, make the jump. However it is just a updated version of said games. I love my xbox but my boss seems to think I should not have a life anymore. I would love to see them just say one thing about Illumi-room. I would be willing to pork up some cash for that device. I know it would be expensive but it is one the coolest things I have ever seen and would love to use it. They could allow people who own Kinect to attach it to the device bringing the price down. I must Agree that my Kinect is catching dust, Not so happy about that.

X1 reduced the price by taking something out of the box. PS3 reduced the price by eating losses with $100 price cuts year after year. Numbers don't lie, PS3 was causing huge losses even while PS2 and PSP were bringing in profit.

I agree, PS3 did more than any Xbox. The PS3 did more damage to Playstation brand than any Xbox ever could. Hence, Xbox was nothing until PS3.

X1 will easily pass original Xbox, you're just being silly.

If X1 has no relevance why is Sony spending money to combat it? When Sony buys exclusive support or advertising, that's because of X1.
