Good to know that. I've seen a lot of great looking games on my Vita, Borderlands 2 is one good example at that. Sure this game could run on Vita with minimal effort but somehow their either greedy for thinking it would flop or they simply don't care much about its fans. I know a few people that would be interested in this, since Bioshock for Vita was always in the air. But of course people don't want a turn-based "shoter".

OT: This is just sad.  I would have payed $40 day one to buy this on Vita but I won't pay $5 to play it on my phone, it just doesn't fit.  The wasted potential of the Vita is heartbreaking.  

Larger games don't work well at all on iOS, however devs seem to be too stupid to understand that :p I have Dragon Quest 8 on my iPhone, my fave game of all time, but rarely play it because it isnt suited for mobile. I play much less complex games on my iPhone because I have more time to progress on that than on a game that needs tons of attention. Same will apply for this as well, especially with more casual people. Sure they might buy it, but they'll delete it after a week to make room for the newest Angry Bird sequel or re-skinned Clash of Clans :p

It will be interesting to see how it is received, and if the controls work well. That would also be important.

bioshock is a realy realy nice game, but the gameplay isnt that important. u can play it with a gamepad, because the story and the feeling is the most important piece of the game.

and it can run on vita, but it will not sale well on vita, because everyone that has a vita has another console.

Probably not. I couldn't be bothered to finish it on PC because of the way the game coralled me into obvious ambushes.

No Vita version? Disappointing. Going the Square Enix route for this title I guess....
