Welp, that's pretty damn good for a game that shouldn't exist.

around 70k suckers in the UK confirmed.

Pretty sure i know which post this is referring too, and it depresses me that they can get away with saying it...

Ah well, life ain't fair.

OT: Minecraft has reached god tier UK legs at this point.

53 million sold so far right? can it beat Wii sports?

So, the game that wasn't needed, a rip-off, a cash grab, a magnet for suckers.....sells better than Mario Kart, the biggest game on WiiU ever.
And doesn't do much worse that the most hyped XOne game ever, that was given away for free.

I would say that doom threads and articles didn't work as planned.

for launch week, yes. but i wont have the legs imho

Do we have numbers for the rest of Europe? I mean... Considering France and Germany are now a larger market than the UK.

Something crazy like that, yeah. At the pace it's going, it might actually manage it.

I can't believe Nintendo got so disengaged with the Western market that something like Minecraft isn't on the Wii U or 3DS.

If it was a Japanese property like Monster Hunter, I think Iwata would've cut a deal for a port over a few drinks of sake.

I get the feeling Nintendo has become a very xenophobic, tunnel-vision company that interfaces with Western developers at an absolute bare minimum. It's a shame. They used to be much more open in the 1990s.

Console wise, the UK is the largest market in Europe.

Just behind inFamous Second Sons should mean over 60K, and possibly close to 70K. "Just behind" should mean close-ish to ISS, and closer to ISS than the game it beat out for 4th spot, because if it was a little higher then the previous 4th they should have said "just ahead of..."

Aside from the awesomeness of TLOU:R, Why and how is Tomodachi selling soo good ? I thought that game wouldn't sell at all in the west since it was a typical japanese game.
Good for Nintendo for creating another milestone !!

larger what market?

overall gaming market including mobile games, etc?

console gaming market?

and that was just true the days, where uk was shrinking because of the long and declining console sales.

2014, uk will be the biggest again

if u want to compare only hardware sales:

uk end of 2013:

530k ps4

364k xbox one

=  894k next gen in one moth (excluding wiiU)

germany end of june 2014:

540k ps4

170k xbox one

= 710k next gen in 7 month (exlcuding wiiU, witch is bigger in germany and frace)

we  get german software chart normally on thursdays
