Many of the biggest and most popular threads on this forum are just articles from N4G.

I guess we love to hate their articles... or if they are agaisnt the competitor then we flock to defend the article. It's all healthy console warz.

Yes it brings up lots of dicussion. And usually the threads with flamebait articles posted get locked.

Well it always depends on if the flamebait is in the article, the OP or the people discussing... if a flamebait article is posted but everyone discuss it in civil manner them they keep the thread going.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Yeah we should, after all that's why people like me exist. Posting articles from N4G is my life.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Just the link to N4G would do me

When I was a writer, I hated posting the content from my network to N4G. It just felt wrong. I love the concept, hate the execution. As it currently stands, it just feeds fanboyism and denigrates whatever consoles or group of fans is least vocal or has the weakest presence.

The content is usually vapid and the headlines are geared toward sensationalism. This mentality unfortunately follows wherever the content is replicated.

I'd prefer we link back to something more reputable like Gamesindustry.biz.

There would still be countless threads linking to the articles whether they are posted on the main page or not. There are a couple of users here that seem to really enjoy reading those n4g articles...

I feel your pain... the concept of a gaming news portal is great, the way they handle their comments, and the type of article that get destack is bad tough.
