After a couple months of chipping away at it, I finally completed Watch Dogs (on X1 for those who are curious).
Let me make a list of pros and cons.
+ Gun play was pretty fun
+ Good stealth mechanics
+ Gadgets were unique
+ You could swim away to end frustrating and boring missions
+ Graphics are pretty
- Gun play was also kind of a mess and moving around feels clunky
- Car chases are a pain in the ass especially when they seem endless
- I relied on swimming away to end frustrating and boring missions too often
- Hacking mini game was used too often
- Missions that require you to jump from camera to camera were boring
- Missions that require you to guide people while jumping from camera to camera were boring
- Missions had little variety
All in all... this is a hard game to recommend. Its somewhere between 6-7/10. I just traded it at GameStop for about $30 and put it toward Diablo III: Ultimate Edition on 360 (a $40 title). I'm content with that decision.
I really hope they wait more than a year to do a sequel, no need to rush it and make another mediocre game.
