Guardians did very well on Monday its tracking ahead of Captain America 2 now so $250 million plus is possible domestically as long as its legs stay decent.

The decline could come in a little steep if turtles, step -up dance show and the holocaust movie steal the thunder. I'd say somewhere around 230 would be the best bet.

I've only seen the trailer, but it looked absolutely awful, stuffed full of the painful unfunniness that's prevalent in modern "comedies".

Watched it yesterday and it was truly mind-blowing. It was easily the best superhero movie I've ever watched alongside The Dark Knight.

the dark Knight is sooo bad... its one of the worst batman movies and has the worst joker ever. its just a dark joke.

and guardians is so great because james gunn is crazy.   he has made the 2 best super hero movies in the last 10 years...

I don't think the Turtles will do that good.  Guardians had a great Tuesday also, its almost $10 million ahead of Captain America 2 after 5 days.

Its over $10 million dollars ahead of Captain America 2 after six days domestically over $250 million is pretty much guranteed should be able to make over $260 million.

I know, I prefer the Three Stooges over modern comedy.

But this movie is great. Only if you enjoyed The Avengers though.

Word of mouth could keep the gross high for a while. I feel TMNT could end up doing mediocre and this having some staying power this weekend.

Yeah, I prefer the older stuff too.

Maybe it is good, but when I saw the trailer, the hero and the raccoon seemed incredibly lame.

Transformers 4 looked like it was heading easily for more than the domestic gross of Captain America 2. Morover GOTG is just picking up as Marvel's new entry.

I'm pretty sure that once the weekend numbers are in Guardins will also trend ahead of Transformers 4.  Transformers 4 really only had good legs for less then a week domestically.  Its overseas legs are very good though, mainly due to the fact that it made over 300 million in China alone.  Plus it will get a decent boost this weekend since it just opened in Japan yesterday.

Ninja Turtles has overperformed as per early Box office reports. It's sure going to take some chunk out of GOTG.

Now we'll see movies for EVERY Marvel comic ever made. I can't wait for The New Mutants and West Coast Avengers.
