I get no game...

It took less than 12 months to make this game.

Option A: put these 30 people to make a new game, we wait 3-4 years, because it is a very small operation at this point.

Option B: put these 30 people to make a remaster, we wait 1 year, with the money we can fund a full team and make the same game that Option A would do in 2-3 years.

Option A gives us a new game in 3-4 years.

Option B gives us a remaster and the same game in 3-4 years.

Option A is waaay better, right?

Option C: Put these 30 people to make a smaller game.

The Last of Us Remastered isn’t your typical HD re-release that adds a great deal of polish to an old game – it’s a needless graphical update to a title that looked marvelous to begin with. The Last of Us could have been easily released on the PlayStation Network for $20-$25, but instead it’s been bumped up to 1080p and sold for under $10 less than a brand new title.

Microsoft unveiled theHalo: The Master Chief Collection at E3 2014, they received arguably more criticism than Sony has faced. A myriad of noses were upturned at the mention of the Xbox One’s major exclusive being a collection of the Halo quadrilogy, and I concur with those criticisms, but at least some notable work has been put into it. The collection’s biggest draw, the Halo 2 Anniversary Edition, is a retooled and hugely upgraded version of a 10-year-old game. We didn’t even have enough time to forget how much we loved The Last of Us before Remastered was shoved down our throats.

If someone want to complain about the lack of AAA games for the first year I get it, what I don't get is how not making TLOUR would have made more games available to people. I guess I aint much clever.

And actually I remember more people complain about TLOUR than Halo MCC... didn't put the link so he don't grab more clicks.

1) its funny in 1 paragraph he complaigns that to much time and effort were put into remastering The Last of Us, then several paragraphs later he praises the effort put into the Halo remasters.

2) in the same paragraph it reads as though he thinks you can simply just throw TLOU on PSN and it will play on the PS4, just that easy.

3) This is just like a game of the year edition, only better, better frame rate, graphics, content, everything. Has anybody ever complained about a GOTY edition before. i think not. This being on the PS4 was just by virtue of the game coming out at the end of the last gen.

4) i could just be me but it seems like TLOU has had way more critisim than Halo has had.

Ok, well TLOUR isnt needed then...

Well, that is your opinion...you are like a broken record.

Obviously, you are not going to buy it, I really doubt you own a PS4.

Who the hell are you to tell people what games they want and need?

/thread

I havent said anything about what people should or should not buy. I dont think this Remaster is necessary and I dont think Sony should get praise for doing it. It has nothing to do with them wanting people to play the game. They want easy money and theyre getting it. I just dont like the way theyre doing it.

This isnt the first TLOUR thread Ive been in...

Its just difficult to stay silent when you read things like "People who are against this remaster is selfish" or "People who dont get why this game exists doesnt know anything"

Its quite rude.

How about now?

30 people can make a small game in less than 2-3 years...Especially 30 ND employees.

I agree with you. Maybe the guy doesn't even believe the points and this is why they make no sense. Probably Just a click grabber, usually as they put ridiculous claims to have attention.
