Forums - Gaming Discussion - Opinion Thread: Which mobile platform do you think is better for gaming Apple's ios or android?

In your opinion which mobile platform stated above provides the best platfom for gaming for both developers and gamers. In my opinion it's ios due to a much higher compatibility ( All devices which can download the game can play it well) on devices and as shown in numerous articles a much higher profit for developers.

Andriod for its big library.

ios is easily better

unified market, less compatibility issues, more stability.

iOS, no question about it, I have both an Android phone and an iPad, the Android phone has "better" specs, yet 3D games are choppy on it (multiplatform titles like Crazy Taxy).

Less demanding titles work fine on both, however, there is less choice on Android... yet, if you want emulators without jailbreaking, Android is your only choice (it means you can run all your classic favorite titles, any good phone will do it).

iOS is better. I've owned both an Android and Iphone, and I though iOS had the better games. But there was lots of stuff free on Android that I had to pay for on iOS.

Android, it has superior hardware, bigger screen, microsd card support (least if u are in the samsung club and a few others) and many apps to help with controller support like for ds3 and etc.

But... atm, its iOS just cause apple got ahead start with their apps store

So Hardware wise, Android, Software wise, iOS

Agreed, though emulaters and touchscreens don't really go well together.

Wait what? Mobile wars?

OT: iPhone because as others have mentioned stability and compatability.

iOS because of better stability and slightly better support. Although Android gets lots of emulators. None beat proper handhelds though.
