While this is 8 years away I think some other major cities in the US should be considered for an NFL team before London gets one.

The NFL's already conquered the US Market, they want a foothold in Europe.

Well the 2nd major city America doesn't have a team so they haven't completely conqured it. I don't forsee the NFL having great penetration into the European market.

The NFL is the most popular sport in the US, the US Market is covered.  The NFL wants a piece of the Soccer crowd.  They've seen the crowds that show up for NFL games.  Not sure about the rest of the league but the last time the Patriots were there, Wembley was packed (sold-out actually).  May just have been a case of mere curiousty, but I do hear a ton of overseas folks call into the Patriots podcast.  I think it's a nightmare for the home team, frankly.    But w/e, the NFL wants to increase their revenue 150% in the next decade+ (by 2027) ...and that won't all come from the US.

LA will get a team long before a team goes to London. It is pretty sad LA does not have a team truthfully.

Well a team will move to LA (probably Rams, Raiders or Jaguars) but with London there will actually be a new team in the league.

London will get a team but I can't see another team in Europe anytime soon after London gets one.  Even though London is not the only city that has a big enough population to support a team.  But as of right now the UK has the best and biggest fan base when it comes to the NFL in Europe although when NFL Europe was around the teams in Germany where always supported pretty well plus there is actually a minor league in Germany the only German player in the league Bjorn Werner of the Colts played for one of the teams.

An NFL team in London would be pretty cool. If that happens, I predict its removal from the league within three years because all sorts of people will be pissed. It would be hilarious to watch for the entire duration.

The British would be mad, or Americans? The number of games in Britain seems to be going up every year which sponsors this idea of an NFL team in London. It makes sense because the games sell out.  Thankfully, Denver is a good team that sells out the stadium so that we never have to go to London.

Everyone would have reasons to complain about something. There's the big time zone difference which goes both ways, the change in schedule (one division with five teams while all others have four), American players not being happy to get drafted into a team on another continent etc.

Also, I don't think that the current games hosted in London are that much of a success. They are one-off events, so they garner much more attention than a regular presence of a team would. Despite that, there were still tickets to buy for today's Dolphins vs. Raiders game just two weeks ago.

I think you are underestimating how much of a success the games in London are they are pretty successful or they wouldn't added a second game.  Kinda surprised they gave up on Mexico City after only one preseason game Estadio Azteca is a pretty good stadium and the game was a sold out (100,000+).

Great battle with GB v CHI
