Viking's are going to take a beating (no pun intended) for this publicly.  While it can be argued that they're waiting for due process to work it's course, the fact that Peterson admitted to it already, and the photos are in the public sphere, makes the timing and reasoning of this announcement abundantly obvious.  Yesterday's scoreboard.
