You know what I would love to know....if you're Tom Brady, and you've been throwing footballs professionally for over a decade, how do you not instantly notice if you're suddenly throwing balls that are like 16% lighter than what you're used to? I mean that's a significant difference in my mind. No way you can't tell something is up there.

And I'm not saying he's a cheater, or the Pats are a bunch of cheaters, or whatnot. I have a lot of respect for them as a team, because they've been great so consistently for so long, and frankly I think most of the people who call them cheaters are just bitter because people are quick to envy greatness, and like to see people in that situation fail. Not denying they haven't gone outside the rules before, but I think if we're being completely honest then we can find some things every organisation in sports has done that blemishes their record.

Still, with all that said....I wanna know....Tom Brady, how do you not immediately notice your balls are 16% lighter than the MINUM weight that has been allowed in all your years of football. How do you not touch that ball and go "Wait a minute. That's not right." Instead he laughs it off like "Under inflated balls, now I've heard everything." Give me a break Brady. 2 pounds off a 12.5 pound ball, you can't tell? After a decade of throwing 12.5 pound balls? Stfu

that's what I was thinking, ESPN had a great example of how the delfated footballs increased advantages, and all the players; the throwers and the catchers immediately notice the difference...somethings up here....

NFL investigators haven't even questioned Brady yet, what the hell?

I think they are hoping it just goes away... Scandal like this involving one of its Super Bowl teams is bad for business...

Because someone would have noticed it? I'm pretty sure the dude on the Colts wasn't the first person to intercept Brady in his career and he could tell by just feeling it, so should a lot of other players.

No, I'm inclined to think Rol's on to something. If ever there was a quarterback used to handling only undersized balls, it'd probably be Brady.

The whole deflated ball story is laughable the only thing that really got deflated this Sunday is the Colts overrated defense.

True, but the denial coming from the Patriots is hilarious.

I hope the Seahawks destroy that cheating team.Let's go Sherman.

That's funny since a week before the Pats defense looked deflated when Flacco was tourching them. Then all of a sudden the Pats offense was able to score and take the lead.I bet they deflated the balls when that game was turning into a butt kicking.THey are cheaters period.

Except Flacco threw 2 INT, one to kill the game. Although when story came out it was to be expected that fans from teams that lost to the Patriots would assume they only lost because of something like deflated balls.

So by that logic...

The Patriots started the game with the balls regularly inflated, then deflated them once they got down 14, then inflated them again (explaining how the Ravens were able to take another lead) once the game was tied, then deflated them again when they were down 14 once more?

Sure, I guess. Let's go with that.

Anyway, as a New England fan, I will say that this disappoints me immensely. Perhaps it is something that "just everyone does," but I can't imagine why a team that is routinely so good would bother cheating for an advantage so minute. It'd be like Bobby Fischer sabotaging his opponent by subtracting one minute from his opponent's clock or something. Pretty disappointed in New England, although I would be curious to see just how widespread this ball doctoring is throughout the league. I'm also wondering who on Earth thought it was a good idea to leave the footballs in the possession of the teams' for a full 2 hours and 15 minutes before the game starts. How could the NFL not think that was going to lead to cheating?

If nothing else, though, at least this will continue to make the NFL look terrible. I can't imagine that they'll be able to find anything marginally resembling proof that Brady or Belichick was involved; at most, maybe a security tape of the balls being doctored by a ballboy or something, who will almost assuredly become the scapegoat if that happens. I guess we'll see though.
