So it looks like Cleveland has two lousy QBs that don't want the starting job. Maybe Bernie Kosar or Brian Sipe is available.

I like Manziel mostly because a lot of people hate him just because of his partying ways. Which of course is something that can hamper NFL performance. He is like the anti-Tebow and until he actually does something, like our great son, he is just a hyped up peasant.

The Evil Empire is widely disliked, and their fan base does not endear the team to many others either. So long as they're in Boston and headed by Darth Hoodie, they'll stay on the list for at least three years after they cease being relevant.

The Patriots seem to be the most polarized team in the league. They have the most recent large group of bandwagon fans that watch the game because baseball coming to an end, and they the have the most hate because they have been stuck in the easiest divison in the league since Brady came into the NFL. It is quite a funny situation actually.

I'm not sure I'd agree the AFC East has always been the easiest division the past fifteen years or so - that honor rotates pretty often - but it has definitely been pretty soft, with the exception of the first Sanchez years (no credit to Sanchez for those, btw). That said, the Patriots repeatedly proved their mettle against tougher teams, so I can't say their success is due to weak competition.

I am going to be super objective then of course the have been good against some good teams. They are in the easiest division on average especially as of late e. This season I say that is the easiest division to claim. Just like it was last year. Brady had won of his worst years ever (if not truly his worst ever) and they still won the division, easily. Being objective too much as a fan is boring.

On a related note, I'm enjoying the Battle of the Quarterback Whisperers we've got going on here. I don't see Jimmy Clausen, Blaine Gabbert, or Matt Cassel ever amounting to much in the NFL, although the last one may make a decent effort at respectability.

One thing's for certain.  Gabbert will always be horrible.  The other two might have careers holding clipboards and wearing baseball caps.

It's been fun to watch Niners' fans reactions to his performances so far. Not that there was a lot of faith in the guy to begin with, but Gabbert's competition for the backup spot(s) make Blainey the likely #2 come September, to much local consternation.

The niner games have been really fun to watch this year!  I am really enjoying the fact that after two games, they still havent scored a touchdown!

yeah, they have some injuries, but that is mostly defensive players.  Offense doesnt have nearly the same excuse.  It is preseason, so maybe they arent taking it too seriously, but it appears they are off to a rough start which makes me very happy!

Are you going to participate in the prediction league? amp316 is in, superchunk probably won't be. He got a new job he has still get used to, plus he needs to relocate. Hence why he hasn't been on VGC in weeks and most likely won't return anytime soon.

The reason I prefer talking about the games more than predicting games now. Is because I enjoy rooting for teams I want to win as compared to rooting for my predictions to be right. This ended up annoying me last year so I did not even try to predict correctly as often by the end of the season. I think this is mostly because the Broncos have been good enough to possibly win it all every year since Peyton came to town.
I will join casually, but if I do not finish it is probably for the reason I mentioned here.

If you are going to be a regular visitor of this thread, you might as well join the prediction league. You know, that's what a good VGC user does. Just don't pull an insomniac17.

Eh, I dont know.  I start teaching again next week and my schedule will become wildy inconsistent.  I would probably be pretty unreliable which is is why I generally dont commit to things on here... But ill throw in my two cents every once in a while!

Join in, it literally takes about a minute per week, and if you use those full 60 seconds then you're putting more thought and energy into it than 90% of the competition!
