Heh, I have a lot of replying to do. But first, thanks to Smeags and to everyone who has wished me happy birthday thus far, means a lot to me 
Strange to think that I signed up just after my 16th birthday when I first got a computer with Internet access. How far we have come from then, huh? Wouldn't be the same though, and I wouldn't have returned to the site without all you lovely people, so thanks for making this community such a great place to be!

This is how you reply if you don't want the quotee to know that you quoted him.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
