To close a sales gap you need to be selling more weekly, otherwise all you're doing is reducing how much you're being outsold by.

i m repeating my answer ...which i gave in a similar post
ps3 had a bad start ,now 82.6m sold...xbone is the fastest selling xb console, thats mean will outsell xbox360...?NO!i completely disagree with these alignments,because they misleading us and dont prove anything...! also...dear you wrote as of march 31,mk8 released on 29-30th may..so things might  chabge...as for japan ,ps4 is doing 5k but is doing great in other territories!wii u currently is outselling, xbone is this mean that xbone will sell also under 20m ?                                               i dont care for gc  sales in  the same period...it s just pointless for me... keep this :also...dear you wrote as of march 31,mk8 released on 29-30th may..so things might change.

Pointless thread imo, it is Wii U
I do think Wii U can do 30-35m LT and even in PS4's peak year it won't do that

It's going to be close.

I think Wii U will do around 16-17m. PS4 should be also be at 16-17m by the end of the year.

I'm gonna give it to PS4.

You made comparisons to GC yourself, and the dynamics of the competition and the bigger market, but Wii U is on the market since almost 2 years in this environment and hasn't shown some advantage over GC.

As for Wii U outselling XB1 (maybe, according to VGC) around the lanuch of MK8 does not make a trend.  Both of them will have better months when they get big games.
