Religion is quickly fading away, especially in America.

The Christian population alone of the United States is close to 250 million in a country just over 310 million. I would hardly call that fading away, lol.

It sounds good when you think about it but its not. When a guy is shirtless a woman sees it and can get some sexual excitement from it but that will be it. A man seeing a woman topless will get a man sexual excited but that excitement might cause growth in a certain area. So until we get less excitement from breasts I don't see it happening.

As a red blooded male I'm legally obligated to say hell yes.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

In many parts of the world they are allowed to do that.

that doesnt explain why there is a law saying they cant.    and the law wouldnt be changed to that they had to go topless, it would be a choice.  Why would anyone be against someone else walking around topless?

Its viewed at as sexual would most likely be the reason why.   If  guys could keep themselves calm then maybe it wouldnt be an issue, but that really isnt the case.  Where as women can conrol themselves when a guy has his top off, if a woman has her top off guys act like assholes with one thing on their mind.

Wait...you wanna tell me that when buff dudes walk around topless, women "control themselves"? Men are only considered "assholes" because it's a known fact that men do look at women, and we're open about that fact. Women, on the other hand, don't wanna acknowledge such public attractions because we still live in a culture where women who express their sexuality are called "whores" (as opposed to men who do, who are called "studs"). We have the freedom, in terms of social acceptance, to do it. Women don't.....but the things is, they still do it, they just don't make it known.

Men's bodies are viewed just as sexually as women's bodies (the good looking ones, obviously. I don't wanna see saggy titties just as much as a woman doesn't wanna see a beer gut). Just an example:

Dat lip bite after she looks at his chest! You think she's not thinking of him in a sexual way? That's no different than a guy subtly looking at some boobs.

Or how about this:

Women definitely stare at men, just as much as we stare at them, so the "sexualization" of the body is irrelevant when we both do it. In fact, I motion that it's sexism to not let women be topless for such a reason!!

I have this theory that there's only two kinds of guys that go shirtless, the really buff guys who like showing off and the really fat ones who have no shame.

I see plenty of topless builders during the summer, they are neither buff or fat. Just builders that got hot while building.

That's true. So three types of guys.

I didn't mean to imply that they were walking around topless.  In other areas of the world (Europe in particular) women being topless isn't a big deal.  I think it is more cultural that we Americans are so infatuated with a woman's breasts.

Once again, where in Europe? I mean, if it's no big deal, some people must be doing it on a semi-regular basis, right? Pics! Pics or it didn't happen!

Women regularly go topless on beaches in Europe. These are regular beaches as well.

I think it depends where you are as to whether it's appropriate or not.

I think in more urban settings, it should actually be men required to wear a shirt (I can't say I disagree with "no shirt, no shoes, no sale" in places such as California and I just think "put a shirt on" when someone decides the second the sun comes out in my not so sunny part of the world (Yorkshire).

But sunbathing on beaches etc, I see no issue.

Fusioncode, there are just as many boobs you don't want to see as there are boobs you do hidden beneath those shirts and bras ;p

Aww, well if thats the case it's no surprise no one makes a big deal out of it. Toplessness on a beach is too...normal. Too sensible, even by my American standards. Nothing to get excited about there. :( And here I was rushing to set aside a "vacation to Europe" fund. *sigh*

Gonna be a lot higher with titties roaming the sidewalks.

Judging by this thread, many VGChartz users would probably die from car accidents.. :-/

It's not "quickly fading away", but it's definitely on the decline. 73% Christian and "no religion" is the (I think, ironically described) fastest growing religious demographic right now. Now, 73% is still the vast majority, but down from 90% from 1963? It's only gonna go down from there.
