Ive never read or heard any of that. Anyway this needs to be seen in stores. I bought Halo long time ago because the box looked cool. Lol hopefully this does well.

I don't know.  Nuts and Bolts took what fans liked and totally went another direction.  Killer Instint is still a fighting game with great mechanics at its core.  Hell, it even gives you the original KI if you buy the full version.  My personal opinion doesn't equal the world but my disappointment is that, when KI first came out in 1994, nothing in the world looked better to me.  KI on the Xbox One looks about average.  I wanted to be wowed.  As for the actual game, I haven't seen anybody bash it that's played it.

I am personally very wowed at its graphics... or possibly at its artstyle I think. theres just so many particaly effects, so much going on on the screen, explosions, HYPE. its like Micheal bay was the head of the art department of this game, and I love it.

So I'm confused. If I download it for free, I just get Jago right? But if I buy the physical copy for $19.99, do I also only get Jago? I see people saying "waiting for more characters" so does that mean I'll have to download them? Is the bonus TJ Combo character all that I'll get with Jago? What's "Season 1" mean? Is there a DVD in the box with a Killer Instinct mini-series on it? Does Season One only have Jago, or is that where TJ is?

So many questions...

The free character changes monthly.  Right now you Get Sabrewulf for free.  If you buy this retail version you get all the characters in Season 1 p+ TJ Combo.   No announcements for the rest of Season' 2's cast at this moment

^^^Ive never heard anybody compare this to Nuts and Bolts.  Hell i rarely ever hear anybody say anything bad about KI outside they want more content which its getting

Nuts & Bolts was a damn disgrace to the Banjo franchise! I highly doubt that's the case with the new KI!

If MS is going to make a $20 physical copy, they need to drop the price of the Ultra edition for the people who are upgrading.

Im not sure what you mean with Mini-series? Ill try and explain the way KI has been released though

KI released in November as a digital only title with six characters.  Then in February (catn remeber the exact months so sorry if im wrong)  they released Spinal.  In March they released Fulgore, Story mode, and lobbies making it 8 characters for the first season.

However it was always planned for at least two seasons so this holiday they will be releasing another 8 characters.  Its a AA game so KI fits perfectly into the digital format which has been praised as being very successful.

The retail version youre seeing in the OP is for the First 8 characters + TJ Combo which is a part of Season 2.  The thing is, you can buy the characters individually or just buy Season 2 entirely for $20.  Look at the characters as DLC.  

So as an example you buy the retail version for season 1 and then buy season 2 as dlc making it $40.  Or you can just buy it digitally for the same price which will also come out to be $40.  However if you dont want all the characters then you can just buy individual characters for $5 a piece.

I hope that helps.

BTW There is also going to be a season 3

You can still select their old school costumes, tho.  Some of the mechanics have changed but I didn't find it any more jarring then something like Street Fighter 4.  Then again, there are people that hated the new game and liked the old game, too.  Hell, I was one of them!  Hated SF4 (changed my precious Chun Li too much.) but when Super SF4 came out, I was somehow hooked.
