I don't see the point of Activision hiding the game's release on Wii U unless another platform holder is paying them to keep quiet or something silly like that.

If it really is coming out on Wii U, then Activision really shouldn't be surprised if it fails to meet sales expectations.

ugh. some people still believe this. MS has NO reason to do that it would be a waste of money since the NInty version poses NO threat...at all. Even when the WIi was on top that COD still sold like crap next to the others

I did say the idea was silly, I just didn't see the point of a publisher giving no information about an upcoming port if it does actually exist. Makes no sense to wait this long to confirm it.

We know its coming to Wii u so what difference does it really make?

We don't though, Activision still hasn't officially cofirmed it. General consumers can't preorder it and its not advertised in stores as an upcoming Wii U game. The difference is that by waiting so long, Activision may lose potential buyers who may be interested in the port for Wii U. Then they'll turn around and act as if its because of the Wii U that the game didn't sell as well as it could have, when its really partly their fault as well.

fair enough. My only theory is that because it is the worst selling version they dont feel the need to really give a damn. Lets be real the WIi U version doesnt really contribute to the overall profit for the series, especially now. Also i think that they are just one bad day from pulling the plug on the whole Wii U version at any point of time. kind of like a show that is not getting the views the network once and is always on thin ice. Plus they always have Treyarch doing the wii u versions for all we know they JUST started working on the conversion port, i wouldnt be surprised if work on the wii u version doesnt start until well after they start working on that years game. really wouldnt be smart to confirm a version that you havent even started making yet.

They obviously want the WiiU version to fail miserably, hence why they are doing all this shit..

It must really kill the dev team that has to work there butts off to port this game to the Wii U and know that Activision won't even bother to market it or admit its existent.

Treyarch? why would it? they get paid either way, hell they put in more work than any of the other COD devs

I'm willing to believe they probably just don't care, rather than they want it to fail. But if that's the case, I just feel like the staff & resources they used to make the port would have been better used elsewhere instead of building a port only to not advertise it and release it to crappy sales afterwards xD

sure we do. We have this same convo every year. Doesnt matter if it is confirmed and lets get serious the general consumer wasnt going to buy this on Wii U anywhere, the people who are really interested in COD on Wii U WILL get the game and are following it.

ANd also really? when has Activision said anything of the sort? They make their money on the 360 version alone (probably) anything is extra dough.

Well at least they put the damn games on the WiiU. Thats more than you can say about most other third parties.

That's my mistake, Activision wasn't one of the publishers to make that kind of statement. They've actually made several positive statements when it comes to supporting the Wii U, sorry about that. >_<
