Tlou multiplayer was boring. I played 300 hrs of uncharted 3. I didn't bothered to play tlou multilayer for 10 hr.

It's multiplayer was the best part of the game, though.

Lol. To each his own. I played uncharted 3 multiplayer a lot. Was eagerly waiting for this. But tlou multiplayer turned out to be unbalanced and pain to play.

So the standard for a remaster to be considered wanted it to break sales records now?

I guess it's really difficult for some people to accept, even though Sony had officially confirmed it, that about 1/3 of PS4 owners never owned a PS3. TLOU:R is aimed particularly at these people. And given TLOU has sold to less than 10% of PS3 install base it's a pretty good bet that a fair few PS4 owners who did own PS3 didn't get around to picking up TLOU.

No one is saying TLoU is a bad game. In fact, it's a really good game. However, this "remaster" was simply overhyped, and so far it doesn't appear as though consumer demand is matching that hype.

And you're basing this on what? Is it that the game is on top of pretty much every gaming bestseller list on Amazon in NA and Europe?  Or that it has already 16k ratings on PSN (which can only be given if you bought the game) compared to for example 30k for Infamous Second Son.

It's a game that is extremely known for its single player campaign, so it's really no surprise that people jump into that first.

The game is doing very well for itself.

Wow. TLOU is kinda like Halo 4. Both sold well but few people play its multiplayer.

I get the feeling pretty much everyone bitching about the remaster are people that don't own a PS3/PS4. Which means they're just sore they can't play this great game.

If you had either console you'd probably buy the game, leading you not to whine like little children about how unnecessary it is.

I think it more to do with the fact that in gaming forums all over you see nothing but people whining about anything and everything. Never seem to be happy with anything.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

LOL the dev is using a random figure like multiplayer users? That proves that it was an unwanted remasterake. If they had good sales they would be boasting about having record sales, not some random number like "multiplayer participants".

From the sounds of it, TLOU multiplayer wasn't popular to begin with, so it was obviously gonna be easy to pass it.

Dude...lol

Consumer demand is DEFINITELY matching the hype.

This game has held the #1 spot on Amazon bestseller for 2 days straight. Trust me, the demand is there

That's certainly relative. I don't own a Ps3 nor a Ps4, and yet I beat The Last of Us in Hard. That doesn't deter me from "bitching", although I have very few complains about TLoU:R.

Nah, but you are still very biased...I have seen you around these parks :^|

LOL yeah that pretty much sums it up perfectly :)

The PR is dumb, and the thread title even dumber. If online activity of a new release didn't surpass that of a 1 year old game, I'd be pretty worried.

Disclaimer: This comment was posted by someone who actually intends to buy the game, not a bitter individual who is trying to justify his / her console of choice. Thank you.

In the title, eclipse = hyperbole

BTW, bought the digital version of the remaster... Just started, but I have to ask, is anyone else having their ps4 be get more loud as the game launch and runs? My ps4 is so quiet in bf4 and warframe witch I play alot, but in this, it starts to run louder, even in the title screen with no gameplay... Same happen to you or is my ps4 having some kind of seizure?

I gotta say I love the MP on the LOU, it's very tactical and also benefits greatly from good teamwork.  It is definetly one of my favorite MP experiences.  Loved UC3 MP too.
