Funny how you dont have to like a character outside of SSB, but then do cuz of SSB. This has happened with me with Lucario (my brother with jigglypuff for example.

Out of all the newcomers, i feel like greninja will be the best example of this. But im proud to say Greninja has long ago become a favorite of mine!

K. Rool, Paper Mario and i guess Krystal.

i had been pulling for Wolf Link/Midna since 2006 and Bowser Jr. since like 2003 but i don't think either of them are going to happen now. Wolf Link is definitely not happening cause Brawl was his only chance to make it. maybe Bowser Jr. still has a chance tho.

i was also pulling for Animal Crosser and Little Mac in Brawl so i'm very happy they've made it now.

by the way on the topic of Ridley: honestly the best argument against him being solely a stage boss is how Toon Link is on that Spirit Tracks stage on 3DS, meaning that just because a character is featured in a stage doesn't necesarilly mean they are not a playable character.  i'm not arguing that he is gonna be in (if i had to make a bet at this point i would say he will not be in) but just pointing that out.  if he is not a character then i think that they tried to implement him and just couldn't get him to work to their satisfaction due to size.  because they are of course aware of the demand and it would be stupid for them not to at least try at this point.

Krystal and Vivian are pretty much the only characters  I still want to see appearing in Smash 4! Plus, Krystal actually still has chances of being a playable character, too!

Ridley is confirmed as a boss in the game.


No he is not. He is neither confirmed or deconfirmed. I think his shadow is just a tease for him playable although he COULD be a stage boss as easily! I will quote a certain user here: (VERY LONG but you should at least read the  Section 2 where the footage is analysed.).


Did you see the Smash Bros. Direct?

He talks about how the Yellow Devil is a stage boss and then you see the Metroid stage and the shadow of Ridley and he says other boss characters will be in the game with the text "Other boss characters appearances"...


Funny how you did not even bother read about that part...

 

I'll summarise:

Shadow slowly moved, stood, did not attack and carried on moving. 

Sakurai did not show Ridley.

Not specifically said "Ridley".

It's a smaller version of Ridley than brawls.

 

I'm sure i missed a few points too. That doesn't prove anything though... I say he has 50/50 chance.

That said, What makes you think Dixie would be a clone? If Sakurai can make Ness/Lucas, Fox/Wolf, Mario/Luigi, Be different im sure Dixie can be too. Dixie has her hair which can easily make Dixie/Diddy much more different than the pairs i listed before :)



About Bayonetta maybe she doesnt, but Sakurai hasnt been teasing any one about this to surprise us, perhaps?

I am tired of clones really and eventhoufh I like Lucas, I think he wasnt neccesary. Difference between Fox and wolf is mosty damage and direction, maybe speed too, still a clone. Luigi and Mario feel a bit different in my opinion.

I did read the other part. Just seems like wishful thinking.
