That's really neat XD It's funny how they can dramatize anatomy so well. I liked that fat cell that had nothing to do with fat.

Moyashimon seems interesting. I like these clever ways to incorporation information into a fun or interesting story. It definitely seems like it would do better in today's anime culture that isn't just "whatever is on Toonami." I'll put it on my sticky note @_@

And I don't know about you but I stuff random animals into dead seals all the time.

Enjoy!! Post pictures when you get back (or when you're there if you have time). Hope the culture shock isn't too crazy. I've been learning Japanese through work for the last year or so and I'm hoping to get a chance to visit at some point, even if it's professionally at first.

Don't worry I have been there before and I still don't know any of the language really. Northern Japan is a whole different beast though as there will be very little english speakers. Will be fun to get lost in again.  Now professionally is definitely something I am interested in, as the purpose of my visit is to find a job there (while having fun of course). I think a one year job in Japan would be really fun, maybe a bit more.

Damn. Well put a good word in for me there if you can. I'm also looking for a way to emigrate to Japan. But it seems to be pretty tough to get a hold there if you're not doing a certain profession.

Tall too? @_@ Hm...she sounds fierce
and kinda hot. Seems pretty interesting. Some really wild girls in this show.

I don't know ... she had this weird cowlick going on and I don't care for long twintails.  She's got the legs, though.  I think she's Swiss.  When Ayano (MC) lost at badminton, her multi-time champion mother left without a word, moved to Europe, and found Connie, who she then molded into a top caliber player.

This left Ayano kind of ... unstable.  It's so refreshing having a main character with a savage mode.

Like, "I was going to beat you even if you didn't get hurt.  Stop wasting my time."

Yeah its tough, and citizenship is harder. It is not something that I consider worth doing given the requirements of like 5+ years and revoking all other citizenship.  Professionally, they can always use English speakers though, especially with Olympics 2020 looming.

The last 2 seasons were kinda lame. There were some pretty good shows but nothing amazingly awesome like in Winter and Fall. Next season doesn't fill me with confidence either unless I'm overlooking something. I guess all that's left to is what I always do; pray to Trigger.

Grand Blue makes me laugh every episode. All these guys are just terrible and I can't get enough. That poor guy with his girlfriend XD Geez.

Hum....I should update the poll. You all deserve better. *thinks for a bit*

Going with another race poll...only more general so less to argue about, other than the options themselves obviously. I'm sure I missed your favorite character so make sure to post if you care enough! Happy voting!

Oh and if anyone was curious, My Hero Academia won the last poll. You wa shock!

Eri from School Rumble.  She is one of the few examples of a tsundere character being portrayed as human rather than a walking cliche.  She goes from a supporting character to a central character as the story dives further into her personality than probably anyone else.  She's popular, yet insecure.  She is aware that her sharp tongue is a negative but she can't seem to stop herself.  It's a bad defense mechanism, one that sabotages relationships as a twisted way of protecting her heart.  Just a fantastic character.

From the poll options, I pick Karen Kujou from Kiniro Mosaic.  One of the most genuinely fun characters in all of anime.

Oh, and Girl Genius Kokoro-chan counts, too, doesn't she?  I can't prove that she is mixed but she did graduate from Harvard (maybe).

Mikasa. Hot, a little crazy and a badass. What's not to like.

You don't expect that show to be emotional but it nearly brought a tear to my eye.  The main character standing there when everyone else was walking away, refusing to give up on his friend, believing that he would do the right thing in the end ... it really captured the essence of camaraderie.  Reminded me a bit of One Piece when the Straw Hats refused to give up on Lobin.
