Watched Mazinger Z Infinity, I absolutely loved it.

Insane fanservice in the best way possible, the fight between Mazinger and the robot beasts was his best fight ever and one of my favorite moments in anime. Couldn't stop grinning and getting goosebumps through the movie.

Great spanish dub too, as usual.

Also tried Comic Girls tonight. First episode didn't really do much for me. Most of the jokes fell kinda flat...and other than the shoujo girl I can't say I care much about the main cast right now. Main girl in particular just felt kind of annoying. I'll give it another episode or two to see if I get attached to it, I did like the random Zoro reference.

No yeah its pretty bland, and the main girl is bad but the shonen girl is the worst. If a show cant make chuunibyou seem funny to me then it must be crap.

I feel like I should like shounen girl more...but everytime she goes hero mode I just roll my eyes. Feel like the whole bit is trying too hard to be funny, like a guy at a party incessantly repeating a joke all night with zero understanding of the context behind the original joke.

Anyways, I took it off my queue after the second episode. I'll admit if you just want something super moe with lots of female interactions it's nice...just not something I can really get into.

Anyways, first episode of Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku is out. I found it enjoyable, as I thought I would. Main girl is fun to watch and Sugita voices the best friend character. Also are they playing Switches?

New poll coming soon. Need to think.

Winner of VGC's Most Hyped Spring 2018 Anime is....My Hero Academia Season 3!

New poll: Most Relaxing Anime?

Question should go without saying, but what's the most relaxing anime you've seen? Could be a show you just found really relaxing once, or something comfy you keep coming back to over and over again.

Don't get upset that your choice isn't in the poll. This is going to be hugely subjective so I'm fully expecting Other to get more votes...but hey, more reason to speak up and share your thoughts with a comment, ne? :3

Recently watched Tanaka-kun is always listless, so definitely that!

Did someone say relaxing anime? *stare*

Well, the poll is filled with plenty of really good ones.

Yuru Yuri, one of my favorites, while a good chill, it also can be funnily over the top, plus lesbians. Plenty of seasons too, for a nice watch.

Sweetness and Lightning, was another good one, really liked the whole family and food dynamic.

Yuru Camp, god bless.

Natsume’s Book of Friends, highly recommend it, consistent, episodes filled with emotions and great characters, not every episode is perfect, but most of them range from good to absolute tear jerkers.

Non Non Biyori, nothing too special for me, but still overall pretty solid, another chill ride.

Now for my choice.

Amanchu!

Oh how much I love Amanchu, extremely genuine characters with a lot of character development, especially from Teko during the first season, very relatable for me in terms of dealing with new environments, making friends and the like, Pikari absolute earnest personality and the rest of the cast, all well done, the relaxing music and setting near the sea gives the great chill vibe the whole ride, with just enough comic relief in the form of their muppet faces and the like, this quickly became one of my favorite Slice of Life anime, add in its great art style and direction, I just can’t recommend Amanchu enough. Plus the relationship that develops between Pikari and Teko is absolutely adorable and super wholesome.

Hinamatsuri #2

I was a bit concerned after episode 1.  Not that it wasn't good, it was just in such a hurry to establish itself that it didn't feel much like the Hinamatsuri manga.  One of the reasons I love the manga is that it moves at its own pace (much like Hina herself).

While episode 2 still moved at a much faster clip than the manga, it felt a lot closer to the core of what makes Hinamatsuri so much fun.  It introduced two awesome characters in Anzu (she's amazing) and Hitomi (she's amazing, too) and showed off the quirky humor that is the backbone of the series.

(off to the hostess club)

@poll
Usagi drop could be relaxing as an anime if the manga didn't give me PTSD.
Tanaka-kun would be the most relaxing to me in the poll.
Spice and Wolf is worth mentioning too, mostly because of the OST. Economics 101 was never that chill.
