I watched Bungou Stray Dogs part 1. I really liked the OP. The show is overall pretty good, I really want to see if the MC goes rage mode though and eats someone. Would be quite the cool anime if that happened for sure! The other powers seem pretty strong, and its always interesting how the show decides to use them just like in MHA. One caveat to this show though:

The show almost went full Madoka Magica, but then everyone lives magically. Quite annoying when that happens but at least for the tiger it is shown he has healing capabilities.

I also watched Sword Gai the Animation, also assuming Part 1. Because well this show doesn't get far, they needed more episodes. Would have been fine if they didn't waste some the earlier episodes on nonsense. Normally I really like shows like these but honestly a bit too much wtf moments. OP was also very good. And to be honest, I haven't heard a bad OP in a long time which is quite refreshing compared to 2017 when it seemed to be almost every show I skipped it.

Lastly I am most hyped for High School DxD HERO for obvious reasons. Not only is it a hilarious and entertaining show, but it also has a ton of "poke yo titties" fanservice.

I thought this show was pretty good, but it takes a long time to introduce everyone. I think it really picked up after Kyouka's introduction, which was like...8 episodes in or something.

I liked Part 2 a lot more. More development for the mafia characters, and new villains seem like something out of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Also that OP was godly.

Finished watching Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru (SNAFU) last night. It was...interesting. Still digesting the last episode. Basic premise is a pessimistic loner boy who joins a club to solve people's problems and be less of a loner. Seems simple, but very well-written, if not over-dramatic sometimes. I liked every character, and every episode was fun to watch.

Main issue I had though, which was pronounced in the last episode, was that the anime was basically all "show" and very little "tell". I get that's usually preferred as far as writing goes, and I don't like to having everything spoon-fed to be me either, but sometimes there's such as a thing as being too vague. Several times I had to pause to try and interpret someone's meaning, and I'm still a bit unclear about one of the character's intentions in the last episode.

Overall though, definitely was worth the watch, and I'd love to see a season 3 if that ever pans out.

---------------------

Spring season begins! Started this season so far with 3D Kanojo: Real Girl and Tada-kun wa Koi wa Shinai.

3D Kanojo seems...okay. I like that the couple gets together early instead of waffling around, but not much really stood out either. Felt like it kinda rushed through the MC going from "I hate girls" to "I like this girl"...and I didn't really empathize well with him either. It seems like a cute idea though, so I'll keep with it and see how my impressions change.

Tada-kun on the other hand, had me either grinning or laughing several times. Funny animated cat, blonde girl, tsukomme/boke pairing, seems like whoever wrote this just gets me. Looking forward to more!

So what's everybody deciding to watch in what could go down as one of the best seasons?

Haven't watched anything yet, but will watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Persona 5 tonight and just gonna save My Hero Academia for next week since episode 1 is a recap episode.

Might also watch Megalo Box, since I have been hearing good things about it, but I am not a fan of sports of Anime.

Amanchu! Advance started out strong, kept the amazing chill feel and fun from the first season, lovely muppet faces and the always great development of Pikari and Teko, am also glad they are doubling down on their feelings as they were left at the end of Season 1.

Shooked

If it keeps going just as strong as this episode, this will easily be my show of the season.

Current list is:

My Hero Academia S3
Shokugeki S3.5
Tada-kun Can't Fall in Love
Wotakoi (don't know the full name)
3D Kanojo
DarFranxx (leftover)
Grancrest Senki (leftover)

Not sure what else I'll pick up yet. Maybe that horse girl show or the mangaka girls.

Was originally on the fence with Persona, but I think I'll pass now. Whenever I watch video game adaptations of games I've already played, I find myself spending more time comparing the two rather than actually enjoying the anime on its own merit.

That reminds me...I need to update the OP.

Hinamatsuri --

Megalo Box seems promising, great first episode, the tone, the music and the artstyle that reminds me of 90s, early 2000s anime, def a keeper, hoping for some great boxing action.

And great ED.

I agree, it was a very strong 1st episode and It has a lot of potential to be very great. The Ashita No Joe vibes are reall with this one and I can't wait to see the fight next week.
