Overlord II -- So, wait, the main character is the bad guy in this? Well, damn, why am I watching this?

The name "Overlord" might've been a hint to that.

So there is an anime about beach volleyball coming out soon.  When I first saw this picture, though, I thought it was the girls from Hibike! Euphonium and I got a little excited.

Looking at the production from a no name studio and a no name director I'm not holding my breath. Expecting trash for now.

I don't know what I have done in life besides being annoying to deserve such a great adaptation of citrus, from the artstyle to the direction of most scenes, they even kept the anthoniko scene that was an extra in the volume, the beautiful ED with Sabu's art, I'm in love with this, I pray to everything that they also keep the ever growing eyebrows of Himeko.

Yuru Camp, A Place Further than the Universe continue to be really solid shows, especially love Yuru's feel (Rin and Nadeshiko first date was super cute).

Pop Team Epic continues to be the best meme,I appreciate the different styles they take to present their gags.

Haven't watched Haku to Mikochi or Takunomi's latest yet, but also really looking forward for more those.

Can't be more happy with this season tbh. As long as Citrus keeps the great pace and care it has recieved so far, bless ya Studio Passione.

Also, all the girl shows got the best OPs.

Too epic for youtube.

Finished Konosuba S1 and oh boy, I really like the cast they went with x) Darkness is my top female maso in any anime right now :P

I'm well underway Season 2 also, so that'll be another check on my backlog :D !!

I really like that one. Generally, I'm not that big on on comedy oriented anime but I really like the humor in. None of the characters are typical.

He's not. He's trying to unify non-humans just in case.

If you liked Darkness, I'm sure you're enjoying season 2, since she appears a lot more. I always liked her seeing her too...I wonder why...

I actually liked season 2 a bit more than season 1, but they're both great. I liked that season 2 didn't over-do Megumin's explosion gag...got a little tired of that in season 1. I can only see the same joke so many times before it starts to get old. At least Darkness' insanity and Aqua's stupidity are much flexible for comedy.

Also the cult part is amazing.

This one is fantastic, gives me chills every time. @_@ nano.ripe really grew on me after last season.

-------------------

Up next in my backlog in The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. I dropped this one back when it aired, but remember enjoying it, so I was wondering why I didn't keep up with it. Well...now I remember. The characters talk so freaking fast I can barely keep up with the subtitles. And to make matters worse, the main character is always talking to himself while the other characters are talking, so I frequently have two rows of subtitles to read at once.

I might actually attempt a dub on this one if it's out...maybe. Or I'll keep at it. Despite my issue above, it is really funny, and I like how prickly the MC is despite the people around him being so clingy.

The dub is really good and easy to follow. I can't wait for the rest of it to come out.

Blablabla

Why really? Do you just prefer the range of comedy better? I feel like S2 had worse overall animation, and a higher (and unnecessary) focus on fanservice, and worst of all (in my opinion) totally iced the plotline of the first season in favor a sitcom style situation-per-episodes. That said, when they actually went dungeon crawling was one of the best parts of the entire series. It just sucked that the season ended without anything moving forward.

Did I miss something?  Is he not brutally murdering people?

Yuru Camp is like a fuzzy blanket for the soul.

Not for no reason. The only humans his allies or him have killed in that manner were bandits, bad people and the rest were loosely cases of self-defense. Him and his helpers are non-humans so people react badly to him. He's like an antihero or a ruler who's expanding his influence. He saved plenty of people so far.

With the lizard people, he's forcing them into unifying to make it easier to join him later.

He's murdering them, sometimes horribly.  It looked like some were burned alive.  I don't see where that's unicorns and rainbows just because he's doing it for the sake of manipulating them.

Reminds me a bit of the propaganda manga GATE, where the Good Guys could do anything they wanted because they were the Good Guys.
