I have to say that this 18if snuck up on me and surprised me. I don't expect many things to make my emotions stir but this anime is managing to do it. I like it alot and I'm only on episode 4.

New Game ep 12 made me sniffle a little bit.

Since this season is almost done, I'll do a special post for all the lovely girl/girl relationships and ships with ton of potential from the shows I watched.

First off, while I haven't watched the movie yet (dammit subs) is great to have the legends back for another run. Mah Nanofate

(And best third wheel, aunt Hayate) Sadly no daughter this time, but I'm really looking forward to more beautiful and badass moments between these two.

Next, Symphogear with the wives Hibiki and Miku that have been reaching Nanofate levels for these 4 seasons of goodness, only thing lacking being a daughter, the level of love and care between the two is unreal and with a great attention to detail across the entirety of the show. Plus a lot of great side ships.

And Centaur no Nayami, with Nozomi crushing so hard on Hime, with cute details like flexing her muscles thinking about carrying Hime after watching a couple doing it, the kiss that opened up the anime (best opening to an anime ever) and the canon couple Akechi and Inukai, just so lovely. And the cute date between Angel pres and the trap that fooled more for a minute was a great plus.

Well those were my highlights from the stuff I watched (and plan to watch :P ) from the summer season, I know I'm missing some from series like New Game among other shows with heavy subtext to text (and forgetting Netzusou Trap on purpose) but this is it for now.

Next season tho, is the return of another greatness.

I'm a bit sad Rin-ne seems to be over after three seasons but I'm happy Mahoujin Guru Guru is continuing.

The Kemono Friends situation is sad.  After the anime blew the hell up in Japan (ep 1 is the most watched in Nico Nico history) it seemed like the IP was going to keep going even if the expectations started from zero.  Seriously, it was super low budget (the anime staff was TEN PEOPLE) and the game it was based on died before the anime even aired--no one would have thought it had a chance.  However, after turning the anime into a hit, suddenly the director was removed from Season 2 and the other staff resigned.  Kadokawa is taking mega heat on social media, not just for the decision, but also for the way they're handling it.

Personally, I loved Kemono Friends.  It had far more heart than most anime and it was far more unique than most anime.  It had its own personality and style and it was just so bloody charming.  It even had a more interesting story than most.  

Glad I'm not the only one. I may have already read it in the manga,  but it still made me really sad ;_;

I hope she comes back eventually...

I haven't watched it, but I looked at this first video you posted. Seems pretty fun. The dystopian backdrop seems pretty interesting...I like that it's not completely in your face. The ED gives me chills. I remember watching some random Western cartoon that did something like that...only got less subtle about it later and became less interesting.

Curious why the director was cut. My pessimistic side tells me someone wanted to monetize it more. If it's popular, it must be milked.

So they're making Index III. The end is near.

You just need to watch Railgun.

Index is good, could be better but its good, but I've been waiting forever for index 3 so I'm hyped as hell. Railgun is alright but the 2nd half of each season is filler.
