Watching Tales of Zestiria the X.

And although I never played the games, it has become a little awkward when they randomly change one of the characters voice actors in the dub version. I assume they were using the games voice actor at first as they should, but then sudden change. However it was shown that the character had a voice actor change in the end, but this new voice actor isn't credited as the voice actor at all. So it could be 2 or 3 voice actor changes for a single character, with practically every other character having the same.

Also odd that they switch between Zestiria and Berseria randomly.

I just watched Zestiria the X as it came out in Japanese, and all was well. I wasn't particularly attached to the dub cast for the game anyways. As for Berseria, that was purely promotional because the episodes premiered very close to the launch of Berseria in Japan.

Apparently in the Japanese version they had to replace someone, due to a death.

And yeah dubs for JRPGs are usually some B team, but it is nice that they transferred the same people over for consistency. Just Mikleo ep 1-8, and then 9+ is inconsistent.

Still not as bad of a show as I thought it would be, main character reminds me of Sora in KH2 combined with God of War weapons, with all the transformations.

KyoAni shows once again why anime is superior to any other art form Last ep of Euphonium was absolutely stunning. Every shot like a painting, so much detail, such great timing. If that episode was just a standalone OVA it would be considered one of Anime's absolute classics. That director and staff belong into the anime hall of fame.
