You guys are so inactive, I thought my buddy dropped this thread

The problem is that it is still the start of the season, and preferred shows haven't been fully settled into so that the AOTS wars can begin properly. It probably doesn't help that, of the regular discussion group left at this point, tastes are so diverse, it's hard to find common ground on good discussion because we are just all over the place. Sometimes the poll sparks some discussion, at least.

It doesn't help that some people like me prefer to watch finished shows rather then 1 episode a week. So I am perpetually a season behind for the most part.

Today is a very good day for anime news!

Yuki Yuna Is A Hero sequel announced for 2017

Also announced, the prequel  Washio Sumi Is A Hero will also be getting an anime adaption next year before YY2

Very happy with the news.

This might be a train wreck though. The gut wrenchning novelity has worn off, now we know what to expect. It would really surprise me if I can still give those a 10.

I just dropped my last anime this season which locks my final watch list into place.
This season I'm watching 29 animes, 9 of which are shorts.

It's a testament to this great season which might produce the first and only 10/10 anime of the year as well as several 9s.

Time to get some discussions going.

What's everyone's favorite OP this season?

Mine goes without saying :P

Well, is a season with  Jojo so...

Another great opening for the Jojo series with everything that makes every Jojo OP great, filled with references and foreshadowing to what is going to happen in the upcoming arcs (little details like the footprints in the 1999 part that represent Highway Star, the cat in Kira's hand that represents Stray Cat, ect.), a great sense of style in its colors and structure (dem poses) and, of course, a great song that fits the setting and mood to accompany it, which also takes musical cues from DiU, like the Breakdown part, that is straight from the main theme Diamond is Unbreakable and a special detail in the full version of the song.

Favorite OP this season? Drifters

I think it's really interesting that they went with an English song for the opening (maybe it's more common than I think, but hundreds of anime later, maybe not), and the entire opening is visually appealing. I love the fact that they decided to sync the "na na na na na na" portion to mouth movements. Definitely a winner in my book.

My personal favorite is the March Comes in like a Lion OP, "Answer" by Bump of Chicken. Something about that vocalist's voice just gives me chills, and this song isn't an exception.

Runner up is the Bungo Strays Dog OP. Same artist that did last season's Shokugeki no Soma OP...which I've probably listened to over 100 times already. *sweats*

Sorry Jojo buddies.

You people disgust me. Best OP of the season goes obviously to Occultic9

Other nice ones are Buranki

Takkyuu Musume is also pretty cool

Flip Fappers OP is also pretty nice but ZAQ really doesn't fit the series at all.
