Robin takes it for me. Lots of characters in these types of stories have tragic pasts...but the circumstances around Robin put it in a whole nother level. There's a big difference between losing everyone due to a rogue element...and losing everyone because you are that rogue element. A world that forces a little girl to become an outlaw is a pretty twisted one.

Been keeping up on the few shows I started...but haven't picked up much else so far. Probably won't change with the forum being as it is, and my manga backlog taking priority lately. Hibike and Lion have both been fantastic, and are a delight to watch every week. Keijo is kinda dumb. I was considering dropping it...but then white hair girl had a great ass-shot, and I decided I was being a little too harsh. Yes, I know I'm the problem.

Bungo Stray Dogs though...holy shit that last episode. I wasn't expecting it to get so dark. Hard to believe this is the same anime as season 1, considering the goofy tone it started with. The last scene was even harsher than 91 Days...and that was basically Godfather: The Anime.

No idea, haven't read the light novels. Born was a little lackluster, so my expectations for this one aren't as high as they used to be for the previous seasons.

So...we got to see gifs of the blueray for Berserk 2016 and it's not crappy CGI!Left side is blue ray and right side is the tv version.

HUGE difference, glad they realised that cgi was a bad move, gives me hope that 2017 will not be cgi.

Not awesome either but at least viewers shouldn't throw up with the blu ray version...

Yeah...it's something at the very least.

You guys are so inactive, I thought my buddy dropped this thread.

I started Handa-kun and I am not sure if I should have watched the original or not, but this spinoff is quite hilarious. I might get back into the funny show genre.

Speaking of funny shows, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu Season 2 would have been better then just Full Metal Panic!

The problem is that it is still the start of the season, and preferred shows haven't been fully settled into so that the AOTS wars can begin properly. It probably doesn't help that, of the regular discussion group left at this point, tastes are so diverse, it's hard to find common ground on good discussion because we are just all over the place. Sometimes the poll sparks some discussion, at least.

I finished 91 Days...after I put it on hold for a while. I don't know what the consensus is here...but despite the heavy feels (or maybe because of them), I really loved this anime. Kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time, and the last few episodes were just a punch to the gut.

It's one of those rare anime I feel like I can recommend to people who generally don't watch anime. I'd honestly compare this show to The Godfather or Game of Thrones before I compare it to another anime. It's definitely something I'll pull out when someone tries to pretend this medium is less diverse than it truly is.
