What is so expected in Fall?

Brave Witches

Bubuki Buranki

Flip Flappers

Haikyuu

Hibike Euphonium

Keijo!!!!!!!

Long Riders

Wixoss

Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku

Shoushin Shoujo Matoi

Vivid Strike

And those are only the ones I know already I will love. Compare that to the Summer season where I could barely name a handful of animes I'm excited about.

I have to admit that I know nothing in that list except Haikyuu (not interested, I'm not a fan of sports and music animes) and Keijo because we talked about it here (could be stupid but fun). After a quick research about the others, I'm kinda interested in Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku but that's all... I'll wait and see, the others could surprise me!

Hibike Euphonium

Oh man, I forgot about this one. Hype!

Hopefully Twi doesn't beat me.

And yeah...I've fallen behind on almost everything this season. Shokugeki is probably my standout, but that's somewhat dissapointing compared to the first season. Maybe it's just because I hate tournament arcs.

Really? I love tournaments in anime, it's just the best. Dragon Ball, Naruto, Saki, Mahouka, god I love that shit!

Looks like I'm not the only one behind this season, but yeah next season looks much better. Don't forget the new Shaft anime," March comes in like a lion".

And Keijo!!!! alone makes the season better for me, might just reread the Manga before the anime begins.

I'll beat you down with Kumiko x Reina pics till you ship them hard...and praying that it isn't just bait on the second season or else I'll go stabby stab on you.

Eh, It just seems like the story goes on auto-pilot whenever a tournament starts. It's like the author decides he needs a way to show a bunch of characters, but doesn't have a real plan in mind that would necessitate showing them. Start a tournament, and voila, suddenly we get 10 straight episodes of him showing off everyone.

There are exceptions for sure, but to me, it seems there are much more interesting ways to introduce characters and their abilities than scripted 1-on-1 fights. I suppose I just see the arc template way too often, and am almost never wowed by it.

Fall for me has Haikyuu, Bungou Stray Dogs, and it looks like Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans is getting another 25 episode season, so maybe I should go back and finish the first. Otherwise no real hype over a generic synopsis or 20. Honestly, 2016 has been a pretty crap year for anime, but I guess they can't all be winners.

Summer season is just filler episodes until we reach the MEGA FALL SEASON EXTRAVAGANZA!

So far I'm enjoying it but I'm pretty far behind again. Looks like I have to keep a strict regiment of 5h of anime a day to catch up to all of the animes until Fall.

:O I dunno how you can do that without getting fed up of watching anime

Dude, I've been watching around a hundred animes a year for the past 5 years so I don't know if I even have the capability to get tired of watching anime.

But it's only in tournaments where you will see some crazy strats and unique moments while in every story fight it's only screaming and powering up until someone dies. If anything is on autopilot then it's story fights because they always end the same.
