Anybody got a waifu this season yet?

So far from the top of my head the one in my profile pic.

I also find Elsa from Re Zero unbelievably alluring. She's just an allround awesome female character.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Where you expecting something different front Studio Perriot?

Well, I mean ... Sagebu was good and I liked Re-kan ... though it seems those are both from the Pierrot+ studio.

Honestly, though, I never look at or think much about the studio unless someone makes a big deal out of it here.  I judge each anime on an individual basis, completely regardless of who made it.

He dropped those in favor of Hundred.  There is ... nothing that can be done.  Best to simply avoid eye contact.  (Though I have no interest in Super Moe Floating Battle Fortress).

All Anime/Manga writers hate their childhood friend, so that's why the childhood friend never wins.

It's a giant cliche at this point that needs to end.

That must be the reason.  I'm betting they had a crush on their own childhood friend, got rejected, grew resentful, and decided to get revenge through manga.

It's really such a massive cliche now that I would be embarrassed, as a writer, to have it in my story.

I agree with the childhood friend thing you guys are saying, it's time to stop! I want an MC to choose her, damnit!

Btw Versus, I'm on the 2nd season of Love Live.

I want your 500 word essay on what you think by the end of the day.

D:

Let me finish the 2nd season first, I'm only on the third episode. I should be done by tomorrow or Saturday.

I chuckled.

I didn't realize till looking at this, but Josuke's Stand looks pretty similar to Za Warudo. I wonder if that's intentional or Araki just thinks its a cool design.

@Childhood friend thing: I think more than winning or losing, I'd like to see the trope used in a more meaningful way. When the only thing the character contributes is a contrast to another character, it just seems wasted. And if the story is trying to contrast present and past feelings on top of that, it's pretty hard for me to root for the one that doesn't get any actual exposition. I suppose that's up to the individual story though in how it's implemented...but I think it's the foundation that's more at fault than just how the story progresses.

Still, I like it when it's done well. Random example off hand, but Ed/Winry in Fullmetal Alchemist was a childhood friend pairing that developed into romance, and I rather enjoyed that couple.

It took awhile but I finally finished Haikyuu!!. It was good! Though, I did hit some serious fatigue after the first tournament and during the training sessions. Adding a new trainer was an excellent move, especially with her being such a fun character that contrasted with everyone else and offered a fresh viewpoint. Really, she's the biggest reason I made it through to the next major event. Ryu's sister was also a good addition.

The only thing that bothers me a little is that I wanted Yamaguchi's redemption to be more impactful. Both main characters being idiots is also a bit limiting. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to new episodes.

I dropped 12-sai. The second episode was just a mess of shoujo cliches all jammed together. For instance, why didn't she help look for her precious keepsake? That was ridiculous.

Anne Happy ep 3 was bloody hilarious. I loved it the whole way through. It was unpredictable and inventive. Timothytown was great and I'm loving the teacher. The two new girls are awesome.

Netoge no Yome wa ep 3--all I can say is that I would have traded away Ako for Nekohime in a heartbeat. Yum. And that lariato! Actually, Ako is my least favorite character by far. I find her goose-bump level scary and would probably get as far away from as I could. Side girls win this one easily.
