Can I join? I'm new to animes in general, but thanks to 2 peculiar persons, I'm getting into it The only show you can call an "anime" that I have seen completely is DB, though.

Right now I'm watching:

Ao Haru Ride: In my opinion a girls show, funny, easy to relate to, cute, and dumb. And I love it.

SAO: Not liking it to much. Don't know why, but it feels soooo cliche-ish and obvious that I can't enjoy it. I'm only 3 episodes into it, so hopefully I start to enjoy it more.

The Melancholy of Haruhi: ... Do I need to say something? Really, it has no explanation.

I think the first 2 episodes are the best of the anime. Later on it's a quite sweet love story, but has nothing to do with it's begin anymore in my opinion - way too casual/cheerful.

Is Code Lyoko considered an anime? XP
It's French so I don't think so...

Me too     I love nice romantic ones like this.

Shoujo anime is one of my favorite genres when done well.  That's why anime like Skip Beat, Nodame Cantabile, Kimi ni Todoke, and Kare Kano are among my favorites.

Maybe I should list my recommendations, too.

How about josei? Chihayafuru is just epic.

Wasn't there a myanimelist club for the old thread or something like that? Would be nice to have something like that again.

We could certainly so something like that. I'll get to it when I come home later today.

I started to type that but didn't since it's not technically shoujo.  Then again, I think Nodame Cantabile is josei, too.

Chihayafuru is one of the best anime/manga of the last several years.  In fact, I've been thinking about rewatching the first season soon, possibly after I'm done with the Yamada and the Seven Witches drama.

Josei has such a wide range but it does include many of my favorites like Nana and Princess Jellyfish.

Added a poll for favorite anime of this season.

I'm personally loving Aldnoah.Zero and Tokyo Ghoul. Zankyou no Terror is a potential masterpiece as well. Majimori Rurumo has been great as well.

Not enjoying Rail Wars or Rokujouma nearly as much as I thought I would, though.
