Not the browser's fault. Can happen to any browser depending on the options.

The big profil pic and the small are 2 different files on the server. So either the browser or the server had one of the older files cached. That's why it will solve itself after some time when the caches get renewed.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
