Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony: EA Access Doesn't "Represent Good Value To The PlayStation Gamer"

I think it's great value.

Possibly. Maybe Sony wanted EA to pay them...

Maybe, but I doubt Sony wanted EA to pay them. This service is something that Xbox has and playstation doesn't.

what about choice Sony? #4thgamers

and presumably PSnow will be free to PS+ subscribers then? and FF online is good value? for one game?

weak... really, really weak.

Well it gives Sony a chance to say 'we listen the our fans' when they announce they are getting it as well in a year or 2.

But then the "value" term now will look like they worded it wrong. No way "no good value" will be "good value" in 2 years objectively. Spinning words it would be.

Why wouldn't they let their customers decide what is of value and what isn't? Sounds like they are bitter.

LOL. yup, shu is just so bitter. he is drinking all by him self in a corner of his garage with a copy of the last guardian in hand while he keeps mumbling "those damn EA.... those damn EA"

Yeah I dont think PlayStation has any need for EA access PS+ offers enough as it is. I already have a huge backlog on my PS3 because of PS+

you have heard of games for gold right?  where you get free games and keep them forever regardless of subscriptions....

Not on XOne, it's the same "rental" principle there.

I do agree on your previous post though, it seems very few PS3 users subscribed to plus. 3 million would have been the maximum assuming every PS4 owner subscribes now (which of course they don't). I guess people didn't see the value in it, so Sony makes decisions for them (me included) now.

Yeah I have heard of it, but for me personally I see no need for EA access because of my PS+ backlog. It is great value though so great for X1 users. And maybe it is a great miss for PlayStation. I should not be too quick to judge if they need EA access or not.  But thats just my opinon, im allowed to have one right?

Edit: I do agree with people here that Sony should have given the gamers a choice if they want it or not.

Except on Xbox one you don't keep them anymore...

Edit: someone beat me to this.

So, what Sony is saying here is that it is not an exclusive deal, they could introduce the service it if they wanted, they just didn't want to.

I suppose if the get enough backlash they will think about it again.

On the other hand, if this kind of service picks up, i can see other publishers jumping on it and then the monthly subscriptions will add up in the end.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

not any more.

How fantastic, EA already fucked up their relationship with Nintendo and now they are doing the same with Sony
