now being 17 (turned today) I have ofcourse tried atleast one type of drug, which is the mildest of them cannabis, or as some people like to call it Marihuana.

and you know what? I HATE IT! I can see why people like it, but seriously it feels like a nightmare.

anyway, but I wonder what everyone on this site thinks about it cause honestly I think this is one of the few places where you can get a reasonable opinion without getting flamed... well... most of the time anyway.

infact just now, I called a lot of people who do drugs aka the stoners, dumb. my reasoning I told them was because they are to dumb to achieve real happyness, so they think they need to achieve it with a mind altering substance. then they said they are already happy and do drugs for other reasons, I asked them what that other reason was, and they gave me the dumbest answer I could possibly get "because I choose to" and I stopped talking right there because I started laughing hysterically.

so anyway, what are your opinions?

Yes you can definitely prove that drugs have negative effects. Whether or not they should be made legal and how addiction should be treated is another matter.

I think it's okay as long as you don't put other people in danger. If you want to do drugs that's fine, just don't invite me.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

The milder ones are no more dangerous than the two big legal drugs, tobacco and alcohol.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Marijuana should be legalized and taxed in every US state and its territories. Much is not known about it because of its lack of legality in most countries. It is, however, apparent that it's affects are none worse than that of tobacco or alcohol.

One thing that would help marijuana's cause for legality is its user-base being more knowledgeable of its side-effects. Many are under the impression that marijuana is nonaddictive; this is not true. While less addictive than the likes of tobacco and alcohol it is more addictive than the likes of LSD and Psilocybin. There's also evidence that use of marijuana at an early age may cause psychosis. So an age restriction of 21 may be in order.

I used to smoke a small amount of marijuana almost daily to help me sleep and for fun. Instead of laying awake until 6am I could get totally immersed in a movie or tv show and be asleep by 1am. Playing adventure games while stoned is awesome too. Beats a big screen, 1080p60, stereoscopic 3D or surround sound system.
Pretty harmless, haven't used it again after moving to Canada. I don't fall asleep until 3am, not as bad as it used to be. I wouldn't mind using again but am too lazy to find a dealer, coffee shops spoiled me. (originally Dutch)

I've also used xtc for short periods a few years. Usually when going to raves or dance clubs, perfect weekend party drug. Harmless if used correctly, and you need to take long breaks as it loses its effects. It has helped me open up and become more able to talk to other people. It was an therapeutic drug originally, but I only found that out later. It was just a lot of fun. But be careful what you say, your inhibitions to share your innermost feelings are pretty much gone. xtc + trance music + light show = awesome.

Tried speed once. Coded through the night, most productive night ever. But it makes your dick shrink to the size of a peanut. Haven't touched it again...

Magic mushrooms. Mixed experience, first time just a bit of red shift in vision, second time more weird stuff going on like suddenly feeling the ground move, then I got sick for hours. Too unpredictable imo.

Cocaine, only tried a few times. I did not want to get addicted to that stuff but curious anyway. It wakes you up, makes you feel like you can do anything. With us that just translated into playing GT2 all night after the clubs closed.

Cannabis is the most harmless and after your mind gets used to it you need less and less to get into that state of mind. It's not for everyone, some get paranoid, some really can't use the extra calories. Food tastes awesome while stoned! Best is to smoke (water pipe or whatever new gimmicks they have nowadays) for immediate effect, no risk of using too much. It can focus your attention to get totally immersed in music or a movie, shutting out all the other distracting random thoughts. Comedies are way more fun, scary movies are actually frigging scary. It can also show you a lot of how your brain works, especially perception.

No long term side effects, but there is a slight fog like feeling in your head the next morning. Way better than a hangover but there is an after effect. And you might find you left your game saved in a bad spot with 5 health left after running around in circles for what seemed like forever. I guess regenerating health, auto saves, plenty checkpoints and straight corridors were all made for stoners :)

If you want to see how drugs can suck, play Uncharted 3!

I've always been very anti-drug. I just personally never seen the point. I've never even thought about trying them at all. I have problems and issues, but if I decided to do that stuff,my problems and issues would still be there. I personally just can't justify getting high in my mind.

I would never do it. Don't even like the smell of cigarettes so other drugs would likely be worse. Cannabis smells like shit anyway.

It should definitely be legal though. criminalising it was a stupid idea. Some many people in jail for that. Hardly a crime is it?
