Forums - Sony Discussion - Vita deserves so much better!

Vita has no momentum. Frequently released games with HYPE HYPE HYPE would have pushed systems. Price is negligent, look at how much people pay for iphones and ipads. As long as people are sold on the idea of a product, and the seed that they need that product has been sewn into their minds then they will get it regardless of price.

Playstation could have done so much more with Vita.

Sad, now a Vita revisement/successor with 8 hours of battery life, 32 gb of built in memory, clickable analog sticks and a second pair of triggers will never happen. Also throw in an inch larger screen, and the Amazon instant app for me personally.

90% of the people who claim Sony doesn't have the best exclusives are people who have not played said exclusives or don't own Sony products.

Who are the other 10%?

The small percentage of people who own all 3 manufacturers' hardware, and some of whom like Mario, Metroid, Zelda etc. or Gears of War, Halo, Fable etc. more than Uncharted, God of War, Heavenly Sword, The Last of Us, Twisted Metal, Journey, Transistor, MotorStorm, Ni No Kuni, Infamous, Jak, Demon's Souls, Yakuza, ICO, SoTC, Gran Turismo,  Killzone, Little Big Planet, Warhawk, MGS4, Tearaway, Ys, Gravity Rush, Valkyria Chronicles, Sound Shapes, Puppeteer, Dead Nation, Resistance, SOCOM, Tales of, Heavy Rain, MAG, MLB the Show, Ratchet and Clank etc.

Hamana...

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

It's the classic "I bought a new product and I love it to death" syndrome. You will get over it pretty quickly, specially after you finish most of the worthwile games that the Vita has to offer... And that could take.. a week, maybe.

A week? really? I mean really? Do you actually have one and spent a week playing all the good games on it? Seriously, dude. This kind of comments are completely unnecessary.

I've said it before and, I'll say it again as a user of all 3 manufacturers.  90% of the people who claim Sony doesn't have the best exclusives are people who have not played said exclusives or don't own Sony products. Play Muramasa Rebirth, Ys, Gravity Rush and Tearaway, dude. They are all great.  Their exclusives are pretty much what set them apart on 3, 4, and Vita.

I have a PS1-4, a PSP, and a Vita, with a minimum of *dozens of games* on each (minus the PS4 and including the Vita) and I can safely say Sony does not, on any planet, have the best exclusives--you may actually believe they do, but the 'logic' you've employed here is ridiculous.

(And in the future, when begging the question, try a bit harder, please.)

You are the 10% than, and not the 90%.

While the vita is a great handheld, I'm sure that it was not worth the 700 dollars you used up on it. I'm sure the original PSP has a ton of JRPG's and Sony exclusives to keep you occupied for a much longer time.

.. but the Vita is PSP compatible (digital), so he can play both on Vita?

I was meaning that the psp would have been much cheaper and seeing how he usually  plays ps1 games and sony exclusive the psp would have been a better choice if only for the huge amount of sony exclusives.

PS1 games are much better on the Vita than on the PSP.

On PSP you stretched the 320x240 to 363x272 (which looked very blurry) or to 480x272 (which looked even worse with the wrong aspect) or you used only a fraction of the screen.

Scaling on the Vita from 320x240 to 726x544 looks much sharper. With pitch-to-zoom you can finetune the display area without steps. The PS1 game has PAL bars at the top and bottom? Just zoom a bit further in. And the Vita has a second stick for PS1 games supporting analog controls, you can also emulate L2 + L3 + R2 + R3 with the touchscreen or touchpad.
