Nah, I don't think the game needs to be re-reviewed: it IS still the same core game.  The enhancements made to season 2, like trying harder with the story mode and dialing back the micro-transaction advertising, deserve merit, but the overhaul is mostly cosmetic.

But damn watching Glacius and Kan-Ra fighting as Kyle CPUs is the most hilarious fireworks ever!

There were only 6 characters when they 1st reviewed it and no shadow training. The game has grown immensely since late '13

I know what you're saying, and I get you, but...  At most, they can simply review the add-on content as I did.

If we always re-reviewed games when they got major changes, reviews would be a never-ending and on-going mess.  Modern games can be patched so easily that most problems stated in reviews can be fixed.  Instead, a reviewer reviews the game in the states it's in when it's in their hands, and that's pretty much that, lol

Microsoft publishes quite a few lesser known titles. This was one of the games I meant to go back and play, and I finally had the chance! Is this the kind of budget title you need to help tide you over until the holiday gaming wallet rape?

That's a lotta old and new games for $30... But how many of the games should you be interested in for it to be worth it?  I'd say 1/3 of them is enough, and even then... it honestly makes Nintendo look pretty greedy considering the pricing scheme of the Virtual Console!
