I doubt it. Sunset Overdrive will help shift units.. though, I don't see it pushing XB1 sales much. A new unique looking IP like Sunset Overdrive is going to get lost among the other big hitters in the same month, and the lead up to Christmas. MCC will be the system seller for XB1 this year.

I don't think so. It will sell good and I can't wait to play it but I don't think it's a system mover!

Unfortunately it probably won't
It's the only game i'd play on XB1 this fall and yet it'll probably sell less, and move less units, than all the other XB1 releases (excluding low key multiplats of course)

I dont think it will help sell hardware but I think will have a very good attach rate the the already X1 owners. The game will still be a success IMO, I'm pulling for Insomniac I like them as a studio. I will be picking up my preorder day 1 the E3 footage sold me.

Userbase @ SO release > Userbase @ TF release
(Disadvantageous concerning boost potential, assuming both are system sellers, the first one performs the strongest. This is why MK8 came out before Smash. Not only is Smash the stronger series but its saved for the holidays)
SO marketing < TF Marketing
(There is not even an official SO XB1 or Collectors Edition)
SO Exclusivity > TF Exclusivity
(Boost system selling potential)
SO preorders < TF preorders

SO System Boost < = TF System Boost
1/4 *TF copies sold < = SO copies sold < = 3/4*TF copies sold

(Numbers include PC and 360)

Lol NOPE.

just a normal small boost for 1-2 weeks. VERY small boost!

Moderate to small impact for the Xbox One. Not enough to overtake the PS4 for even a week without a bundle.

I expect The Last of Us to provide a larger bump for console sales than this game.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

Not at all. It has less mass market appeal than the Ratchet and Clank series and that didn't even sell that well. The very hardcore gamers who bought the Xbox one will pick it up.

YES.

Only because it will add to the list of games that one console has and the other doesn't. ALMOST every exclusive adds sales. Its just a matter of how much. Hard to prove unless it is a monster hit.

It is near the end of the end....

Do you think smash is a stronger series than mariokart?
