decided to take the plunge ready for Sunset Overdrive & Halo Collection, i bought it today kinectless from Argos for £369 with Wolfenstien bundled. Its a pretty decent console and im happy with it, Also got Forza 5 seperately

BUT................the HDD is making a really annoying grinding noise or a grinding/clicking noise its getting extremley annoying, im almost sure its not supposed to be like that?

any ideas? is that faulty or is that how it sounds i found a few videos on youtube that show you the sound it makes

Have not heard that before Skeeuk. Try returning anyway. Warranty before it even gets close to expiring. May I add that Killer Instinct is a great game. Specially if you're into fighters😊

Yeah ive not heard any noises from mine either. Pretty silent. Id say take it back and exchange it for another one.

Actually, the first time I put it in a game, it madea horrible sounds you are talking about but since then it hasn't done that. But I haven't used my Xbox One for a bit so idk.

well its only a day old so il call customer services tomorrow, i would expect an "access" sound but not a purring grind.

btw i got killer instinct it looked pretty good, also project spark

the most impressive thing for me is the internet speed on the one, its over twice that of my ps4, the 13gb forza patch download was pretty quick

never had that sound on mine,i would just replace it for a new one.

did you get it online or a store, either way you should be able to return it for a new one?

Mine does not make any noise. Just swap it out for a diff one.  Grinding and clicking can surely be a faulty platter I would bet.

Yeah, I'd just take it back and get a new one.
