Did you forget you CAN play Wii VC games on Wii U?

Don't have a CCP. Don't feel like I should pay extra to be able to play a game on my system.

Well those CCPs can double up as extra controllers in multiplayer Wii U games as well, you know. If you have Wiimotes laying around, CCPs are 2.5 times cheaper than a Pro Controller.

But the pro controller's better, and not tethered to another controller. Also, it's the controller made for the Wii U.

VC on Wii U is lame. The Wii had an amazing VC, it's hard to top that.

It's actually not hard to top it at all. In fact, it's exceptionally easy. Nintendo is like a person living on a vast oil/gas field and won't sell their property.

Honestly, though the VC sucks compared to what emulation you can get for free on the internet. The VC gives you overpriced games and no ability to select aspect ratio. The VC also inexplicably lacks N64, GameCube, and Wii titles.

this. VC wasnt taht great on Wii either.

We'll se the Sonic Advance trilogy soon on the Virtual Console. Nintendo consoles are the only place where the blue hedhedog can be in this days.

I hope that's the case, because the Advance trilogy was pretty good! It was no Genesis trilogy, that's for sure, but the Advance games were still MUCH better than the handheld Sonic games we're getting nowadays..

I know. You said you don't want to get a CCP, I was just letting you know they can be used for more than just Wii games, so they have more value than you may or may not have realized. I'd rather buy an extra CCP as my third or fourth Wii U controller for multiplayer than paying 2.5 times as much for a Pro. The number of times I'd have two or three friends over for multiplayer on a Wii U will rarely happen, if ever.

I live in a college dorm. That's every day for me. And like I said, the pro controller is better. I'd rather pay more for a better product.

I buy all my classic games in real form instead of ROM form anyway so it's no sweat off my back. Imo, playing retro games on a modern console with a controller that wasn't even designed for them is always going to be a watered down experience.

I miss those days, sometimes. In my last semester on campus, I hit the jackpot by having all three roommates in my suite be big gamers, by pure luck. One of them was a huge Mega Man fanboy, another a huge RPG fan, and the last was a cool guy with rich parents who bought every single Nintendo and Xbox game and peripheral known to man. I got to play so many games I never would have been able to try otherwise. And to top it off, my girlfriend (who is now my fiancee) also happened to stay in the room directly above mine on the second floor, so we'd communicate by knocking on the floor/ceiling. :) Good times.

how so? im struggling to see the sense in what you are saying. If you mean retro im assuming stuff like NES and then you were only working with a dpad and two buttons. Not sure how it would be watered down since modern controllers can accomedate that no problem at all. The only way it would be an issue IMHO when you get into N64 terriority  and above and even then modern controllers can and have covered those.

As long as they bring full titles to WiiU I do not mind for VC
