So I was looking through my wallet the other day and I found that I have about $250 worth of unused gift cards for GameStop. Knowing this, and thinking about this for a long time, I decided I wanted to get a secondary console to my WiiU (I'll pay more alongside the gift cards if need be). I'm not sure which one to get, though.

Pro list for each one:

360:

-Excellent Controller

-Solid backlog of games I want to play (Halo, Dead Rising, Gears of War)

-Cheapest to get of the bunch

PS3:

-Even more solid backlog of games I want to play (Last of Us, Uncharted, Little Big Planet)

-Cheap Price

-More variety of games to play with friends (none of my friends in my hometown has Playstation products)

XBOne:

-Friends actively play online, so I can do online gaming

-*Cue Confession Bear* I actually really like the concept of Kinect

-Great balance of games and UI features that I will use

PS4:

-Cheapest next-gen console

-Promising list of games both out now and upcoming (The Last of Us, The Order)

-First amongst my friends, both hometown and in college to get it (introduce variety)

Now here are the cons:

360:

-The online community isn't as strong anymore

-No new games after this year pretty much

PS3:

-Controller isn't the most comfortable 

-No new games after this year pretty much

XBOne:

-Priciest of all the options

-Not many exclusives I want

PS4:

-Will have to wait on a LOT of games to come out

-A pricy option for not having online friends to play with

And finally, some things to keep in mind:

-I am also a PC gamer with an active Steam account

-I want to play online with friends

-My first instinct told me PS3, but after thinking for a long while, I became undecided

-I haven't talked to my friends with the consoles about their imput.

Please let me know what you think by voting and/or explaining your response. It won't be the final factor, but I trust the community as a whole for excellent gaming taste and gaguing what people should have, so I will take what everyone says into serious consideration.

Xbox One. Best games and best controller. the aps are cool and work well with the system too

Ps3 or 360 are the right choices!

PS3 always go with 1st instinct. If you like it then you can get a ps4. Or vice versa you can get a 360 and if you like get an x1 later.

Choose between PS4 and X1. If you want good games right now and the next few months, get an X1. If you want the console that everyone is getting and which will also get good games eventually, get a PS4.

If you are a PC gamer and already have a Wii U then the PS4 is the only right choice. Will always have more true exclusives than XB1
Think it's "late" for 360 and PS3.

Why is late for 360 and Ps3? I think it's really the other way around. It is too "early" to get either a Ps4 or an XB1.

I'd say go for the PS3, there's tons of exclusives that you can get (you can probably find the rare ones on amazon) There's no point going for XB1 or PS4 until 2015 if you want a larger variety of exclusives.

Exactly my thoughts, it's never too late to get a last gen system at the beginning of a new gen. There's still games coming out for them aswell.

PS4, because, already some games are getting ported over from PS3 to PS4. I really expect the Uncharted trilogy remaster for the PS4 before Uncharted 4 launches.
