We can't really blame Israel for bombing public establishments when the Hamas purposely stores weapons and fires rockets from them. It makes Israel look very bad but that's exactly what the Hamas wants.

Israel is to blame for the rise of hamas. they did everything to shot down the moderate PLO, and now they have the hamas problem, the palestinies are radicalising because the moderate way didnt worked, not because they are evil.

+1!

"I know! Let's completely ignore that Hamas is the aggressor here and blame it all on Israel! Hamas isn't using innocents as shields!"

BBC said they've seen no evidence Hamas use civilians as sheilds.

There was one instance with the hospital. By all measures it seems everyone who stood near the hospital when it was shelled stood there off their own accord, to defend the ill inside.

Israel is not fighting a war - they are committing a massacre. The fact that Hamas supposedly started it changes nothing. If a child throws a peeble on you, you are not allowed to retaliate by shooting her in the face.

Now imagine for an instant if it was Russia shooting rockets on Kiev or something. The moron on the white house would start again with the lessons in morals on his speeches the bloodthirsty likes of McCain would be asking for a nuclear war.

Terrible how it has developed like this. What makes it even worse is than it isn't likely to end soon or well.

it will end soon, israel will end this conflict or lose the help from the west.

the real fight is fought inside israel, hardcore jews against modern jews.

a big part of the population isnt happy, the radical settlers are doing everything to start a big war for a great israel, the modern jews are tired of the war and pissed because the settlements are very costly and a reason for the rockets.

It won't end soon. Really, the only way for it to end is one side completely wipes the other and we all know, Israel will not wipe the pallistians out completely and the other side can't wipe Israel without help and it will be hard finding some willing to fully help with that.

There are several omissions going on.

First and foremost, Hamas has bombed Israel with rockets in the past. The last time was in 2009, for instance, when Hamas started bombing Israel after a cease fire expired.

Second, Hamas has been using schools as hiding places for weapons and missiles this time. It's easy to blame Israel for killing children when you yourself don't have bombs coming at you.

The real problem is that Israel was conceived of as a racist nation. It was made because in the aftermath of WWII no one wanted to deal with the Jews Hitler had relocated. It was a place to dispose of the issue while pretending to be nice (the correct solution would have been to have allied nations offer citizenship.)

THEN, the discriminated against Jews discriminated against the Palestinians by making an apartheid in Israel because more discrimination totally solves problems. Again, the correct solution would have been to offer citizenship to the Palestinians.

Fast forward 70 years and here we are. Fundamentally, the problem is racial tension which is getting exacerbated by Israel's unique political situation and more than a bit of class envy. It's not the other way around. Consequently that idea of making Palestine its own state cannot possibly work because it is an extension of the apartheid neighborhoods which caused problems in the first place.

The ONLY correct solution is for Israel to offer Palestinians citizenship in Israel and for the Palestinians to accept. Even if we could get Israel to swallow their pride and make that offer (and I don't think we can) I doubt the Palestinians would ever accept. Everybody's too proud.

I'm sorry, but I can't pity people who hide bombs in schools (or bomb schools) because they're too proud to admit they're in the wrong. Your pride is worth a lot, but it's not worth somebody else's life. Let people who want to leave be refugees someplace else and let the idiots bomb each other until the earth of their homeland has turned to glass. It's not like we can do anything to stop them.

I think this is the best post in the entire thread so far!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

This conflict is way too complex to decide which side is right and which side is wrong. Both sides have done horrible things, is just that one side has suffers less than the other because well...they have the technology to do so. If Israel didn't have that amazing defense system, the Israelis deaths would be similar to the Palestinians.

Fact is, Hamas wants Israel death ("We love death as much as Israel loves life" is one of their lemmas), simple as that, and they will do anything to achieve their goal...including killing their own people. And Israel have the right to defense themselves, they won't just let Hamas do what they want...the question is though...how far are you willing to go in order to defend yourself? Is killing civilians justified?

Hamas is the biggest problem imo, they are way too radical and they don't give a f*ck if their people die...in fact they "enjoy" because it makes Israel look bad, which is one of their goals. The day Hamas wants peace (will probably never happen) this conflict will end...really sad really because Fatah wants peace, but unfortunately they are a minority.

Serious question though....did Hamas got power democratically? or did they get in there by brute force and moving Fatah away?

Makes me sick what is happening over there.

Fuck fact, I was in Bradford today, the 6th largest City in the UK, and the council were flying a Palestinian flag.
