The 2 Mario RPGs! But which do you think is better? I perfer Mario and Luigi, I enjoyed all 4 entries in the series while Paper Mario had it's highs and lows imo

That's a tough one. Mario and Luigi RPG series was all around great (especially 1 and 3) while Paper Mario had 2 great entries, 1 meh entry, but one amazing entry.

I think they're both pretty equal. As for M&L, I've played Superstar Saga and Dream Team but I've played all the PM games so I guess I have to say PM just because I've invested more time in those games.


...But I prefer SM:RPG to both M&L/PM.

Mario and Luigi is a really great series, but can't stand up to the sheer joy I feel from playing the first two Paper Marios. Even if both games since then have been wasted opportunities, I've still got to go with Paper Mario. I only wish that Nintendo hadn't basically said, "We're just not giving you a regular Paper Mario ever again."

They play almost exactly the same, but for some reason I always loose interest in Mario & Luigi games half way through.

Mario and Luigi games are too easy but they are pretty much as good as all the other entries in its series.

Paper Mario is harder and better (mainly TTYD) but the quality over the 4 games is spread very unevenly.

Still Paper Mario wins it for me because of TTYD.

Paper Mario (64 and TTYD)

Mario & Luigi has more addictive gameplay, but IMO the first two Paper Mario's stories made up for it.

I can't pick one. I think both series are great.

That's hard. I went with Paper Mario in the poll since I have a soft spot for the games before Sticker Star (and yes, that does include Super Paper Mario as well, which IMO has the best writing of all the Mario RPGs). I've gotta give credit to the Mario and Luigi series though because each of those games consistently has fantastic writing and addictive gameplay. It's just that the best entries of the Paper Mario series outshines each of the M&L games.

Both are awesome, but I'm going with Paper Mario thanks to the masterpiece that is TTYD!
