They could "copy" the treehouse thing although really Sony did that too they just need to have that front and center and then make sure that more of their developer interviews and game previews they do at their booth have gameplay video as their focus.

Far as copying Nintendo not doing a press conference, I don't think so. They just need to make sure to maintain a presence the entire E3 which I think Nintendo did very well. Doing a few competitions of big upcoming games would be a good idea to take as well.

...

I think S&M are looking into making part of their presentation digital like Nintendo's, but wouldn't do a carbon copy. I think everyone is starting to see the pitfalls of a live presentation and seeing the value of a controlled atmosphere a digital presentation brings.

Maybe eventually cause it makes sense tbh... With Digital, you can do a lot more with a lot less (money) from what I can tell and the gamers will still be able to play the games they want during e3... But with that being said, I dont think it will happen anytime soon

I really REALLY hope not. Nothing better than live crowd reactions and fuck ups :)

But after the big event we got three days worth of live gameplay and 'fuck ups'. Plus a freaking tournament. - Also I think everyone now loves the Nintendo Treehouse Crew in a profound manner.

Imagine a Halo Tournament? Or live footage of upcoming PS4 games?

I don't think they'll have digital events, but I do think they will start a treehouse like streaming event.

They won't make a digital event that's for sure.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

No reason for Sony or Microsoft to do that but I think it could benefit other publishers.

Let's all be serious, though. Most people aren't going to watch all of ANY of the presentations. The overwhelming majority is simply going to catch the game clips on media sites. Sometimes we talk about "winning" E3 as though the talking bits really matter but most people aren't going to care enough to watch all of that. It's really about the highlights, which is almost always the games themselves.

I doubt it.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
