Well definitely all the gamers I knew in highschool were huge fans of the FF series, but yeah they liked FFX-2 the least.

I played Radiant Historia for the first time recently. Was decent but the first dozen or so hours was a slog.

Radiant Historia gets a lot better after the mid-way point.

Definitely. The story came together, battles werent a chore since you had more MP and more attacks, and a tad more freedom.

Still, having so many playable characters that appeared or dissappred depending on the time line was annoying. I finished the entire game with just the 3 main characters.

Final Fantasy X.. This damn game gets waaay too much praise even though it's nothing special or interesting in the slightest.. >_>

Most overrated rpg of all time is FFVII, without a shadow of any doubt, in any context, in any conversation. Period.

That does not mean it's a bad game. It simply means what it states: it's an incredibly overrated game.

Skyrim. It has repetitive gameplay, very shallow and linear main storyline, repetitive enviroments, quite a small number of different enemys for such a hughe game, the character development system is beyond borked (if you decide youre gona craft for like 10 hours straight you get too high level whithout leveling combat skills and every enemy starts 1 shotting you pretty much breaking the game) and combt versus dragons is very dull specialy after you learn the shout to keep dragons grounded, you just hack at them like you do with every other enemy in the game.

My score for Skyrim is a 6/10.

Final Fantasy VIII. I've seen one person say it's good, that's enough for it to be overrated.

Earthbound and Skyrim imo.

Why all the hate for Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn? I do agree that it does have some huge flaws that the difficulty is only at the first chapter of the game and the game has a very bad habit of providing overpowered characters instead of letting players train their own units like something that is called an "RPG" should. Nevertheless, I had good fun with it and still replay it to this day. I may be biased though due to a love for grid SRPGs. The game was also poorly received by critics so I'm not sure the term "overrated" really applies.

OT, I cosign the following

1. Anything pokemon
2. Skyrim (leveling system looks good on paper but is bad in practice)
3. Borderlands 2 (1 is better, killing bosses over and over is terrible as the only way to acquire legendaries, BL1 was great because you could literally find them just about anywhere)
4. FFVII (no, a remake won't save S-E)
5. KH games
6. Ni no kuni (would've been a great game but the battle system is horrid and I just couldn't take it anymore after getting 3 characters)
7. Xenoblade. I've watched videos, I still don't get the hype.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

You need to play the game in order to understand why it's so loved! Watching some Youtube videos is not enough, you know..

I'm not going to say XBC is for everybody, but watching videos really doesn't do it justice. You really have to play it and get a feel for the combat to appreciate it. I thought I would be bored out of my mind for the first hour, but once I got through a few tutorials and things started making sense, I was blown away! I can actually say that about a few of my other favorite RPGs: Baten Kaitos Origins (another Monolith title), Ogre Battle 64, Fire Emblem and Quest 64 come to mind.

Final Fantasy XIII
Skyrim
Mass Effect 3
