I love the casting choice for Ellie but BC as Joel? Not soo much. There gonna need a bigger star to headline this if they want people to go see it.
Bruce Campbell is probably just a cameo, he has a part in every Raimi movie. Maisie Williams is a good choice as Ellie.

I actually feel like this and the halo stuff coming up are going to be good for a video game movie/tv show and I don't know why because usually I don't get hyped at all for video game movie/tv stuff and really couldn't care less for the quantum break and uncharted things coming up.

haha so true. I remember when Ledger was announced as Joker and pretty much EVERY LOTR character, maybe sans gandalf was announced and it was beyond "DOOM" and "FAILURE"
People do this with directors too. All of the people shouting about casting and director choices are so closed minded and lack any artistic bones which is why they freak because they just literally pick up a prior character the actor played or prior movie the director directed and extrapolate that to their entire capability.
I mean Peter Jackson only did Frighteners and Dead Alive, no way he could direct LoTR.
Anyone remember Hugh Jackman as being cast for Wolverine. It was as if the entire internet shit an entire brick at one time.

I'm not saying theyre going to win Oscars for this, but people acting like they know how they portrayed their roles and what Druckman or Raimi saw simply based on their look prior to make up, wardrobe and character portrayal is an utter joke.
As much as i love Bruce, he is no Joel material.
He could make a good David though.
