Mafia is a classic party game and an off-shoot of Werewolf.  Each player in the game is assigned a role which is part of a team and they do their best to see that their team wins. 

The two teams are:  Townsfolk and Mafia.

The game is separated into Day and Night.  During the Day, the Townsfolk votes to (hopefully) lynch a Mafia member meanwhile the Mafia pretend to be Townsfolk and try to lynch innocent people.  During the night, the Mafia side choose to kill one person and get themselves closer to winning. There may also be additional teams; you will recieve specific instructions if you are in one.

This game would be Fire Emblem themed--each player would be a Fire Emblem character and their abilities (Active and Passive) would be Fire Emblem-esque.

Eh, sure, why not? Might have to start PM'ing folks to get their attention though, judging by the last push failed.

Partly due to general discussion not coming up in hot topics. A direct outreach would likely be better (go to the old regulars and hit them up on their walls, that way other folks will see them and spread interest that way)

We're on the same page.  I already have the classes/roles drawn up--size determines which get used. 

If you want a hard deadline, lets go with August 3rd.  Could be sooner if we had a full group ( 11 to 20 ) before then.

I'd be very interested in a Mafia revival but I'm going away on vacation for a week on August 4th so the timing is not quite right...

This whole Mafia thing reminds me of a card game the townsfolk (heh) around where I live used to play. Everyone is given a card, and depending on the card given, you're either the police, the killer or innocent peasants. Killer kills peasants, peasants hang whoever they think it's the killer and police has to deduce who the killer is.

If this is more or less the same, but using PM's and roleplaying a bit, I'm definitively interested.
