Just got a new laptop, waiting for my new internet to kick in and I will try Touhou for the first time. Where should I start?? |
Imperrishable Night (Touhou 8).. probably the easiest one, but that's still an understatement. some of those bullet patterns are just not fair.
Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

Metal slug is actually another favorite series of mine. Got the anthology on ps2, psp, and wii. and Einhander was one of those that I picked up on my ps1 back in the days expecting nothing, but was literally blown away by how awesome that game was.. That's one game I've wanted on the psn stores for a long time now..

Got my fix back in the days from titles like Galaga, Lifeforce (Salamander), and the occasional R-Type. Nowadays, I get my main fix from many Cave/Atlus shooters like, Guwange, DoDonPachi, Espgaluda, and others, like Cyvern, Einhander, and Vasara. Of course, because many of these shmups never make it to consoles, for many, I do resort to emus (don't hate.. you seriously can't expect a brother to be purchasing some of these hard-to-find arcade cabinets). |
Ah, R-Type was it. Now I know why X-Type sounded so familiar:

Anyways, a double stick shooter like Nano Assault is already a different beast, or is it?

I wouldn't consider Nano Assault a different beast.. to me anyways. I've enjoyed those type of shooters also.. After Burner, Starfox, Ace Combat, Sin & Punishment, etc.. Though I personally play mostly verticle and horizontal shooters, i don't descriminate on a good shooting game.

Just picked up Raiden fighter aces on xbox 360. Haven't played the series yet, and btw nano assault is awesome too.
I-Is this the place for Touhou? If so, I am shit at them but I love them~
