Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Bravely Default's Agnes Oblige Will Return In Bravely Second

Its been confirmed by Square Enix :D!!!

Those of you who played and completed the original Bravely Default may be worrying about whether or not the game's iconic heroine, Agnes Oblige, will be making an appearance in Bravely Second, which is currently in development for the 3DS.

Allow us to put those fears to rest, because information just published in the Japanese magazine Jump confirm that Ms. Oblige will indeed be returning in the highly-anticipated RPG sequel.

The magazine has also printed images of all-new protagonist Magnolia Arch in various job forms, including Valkyrie, Super Star, Red Mage, and Time Mage.

Bravely Second currently has no solid release date in Japan, and there's also no confirmation that it will be localised for the west. However, the strong critical and commercial performance of the first game should make a release outside of Japan a formality.

Honestly, I like her character design but I hate her characterization... Like sometimes man, her actions were soo dumb and frustrating that I wish she wasn't part of the party... Like meh lolll. Like I get that shes suppose to be that "innocent" character but man, there is a limit

And I hope that part 2 isn't such a grind this time

Hopefully part two is a better game. The first one had a lot of great potential with the class system, but they ruined it with magic users outside of support being useless compared to literally any attack class and most classes and skills not worth using. For example, you use one class to max out your parties AP, you have no reason to use any other combination of skills that do the same but lesser effect.

Here's a link to the class that maxes out your characters BP. I never see people taking advantage of this class. It wasn't even in the first Gamefaqs guide until I messaged the creator and told the guy he should add it to his guide. The video isn't meant to show off the other classes, showing that you can use four turns for every character every turn(you can use 4BP turn one and 7BP every other turn.)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mI8sR7NZ5k

Though if you do want a good magic user, Monk with Natural Talent, no equipment, and Phantom Weapon will give you the best spell caster in the game, taking 9999 with Fire, Bolt, Ice, and Quake.  Comet is non elemental and takes 9999.  You can also pair a monk with Natural Talent to any melee fighter class and have the most powerful attacks, maxing out damage even with Bravely Second easily.  Or using a Spiritmaster Brave x 4 Adaptation on every party member and having restoring 9999 health 9999 damage on all enemies every turn x 4 even with low leverage with Monk/Dark Knight.  Rage, Dark Nebula, Rage, Dark Nebula is how my Monk/Dark Knights are set up in the party with a Spiritmaster/Merchant.

Her character design looked nice, but her VA was just awful. Please change that for the sequel!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Ah, the first game was great. Agnes could be a little nerving sometimes, but I still liked her. Her intentions are what's important, as she was very sheltered growing up. You gotta be a little easy on her.

Her voice was annoying or at least the way she delivered made it annoying not sure which is the case. I'm sure the Japanese voice actress was much better.

Its good to tell everyone this but, I cannot see all the screen and I wanted to see all the on sceen info to understand this better.

I love her character design,

I prefer Edea. -_-

Despite all the criticisms I really enjoyed the first one. All I can say is I hope the sequel is better.
