I remember a year and a half ago I was going to try and find some ubisoft stock and buy it. Too bad knew they were going to turn into a solid publisher.

Ok I did my part, I bought No More Heroes, but they were out of Zach and Wiki.

Ok got Zach and Wiki, now if I could just finally finish Twilight Princess so I can play all these Wii games I got waiting. And no I won't buy Okami.

DNF, now there is a game that should have been scrapped completely. Reminds me of a kid whose been in school for 12 years and still doesn't know what he wants to do. At one point you just need to man up and get a job.

Die EA. Looks like we can only depend on Japanese devs (not that I have a problem).

That's great, but what if we want to play a game that isn't full of lady-boys with spiky orange/blue hair and repetitive techno music that makes you want to jam screwdrivers in your ears????

And I'm saying this as a fan of Tekken.

Bigger advertising budgets = higher scores on metacritic. And Skate is nowhere near as good as THPS2,3 or 4. Not even in the same skate park. If I can't score over 1m points in a single combo, it just ain't worth my time.

I can only see this as a good thing. EA has to have a money limit, so if they buy Ubisoft, which are really rich, they can't buy Take Two or Rockstar.

Downside, they own 25% of the shares already, so it won't cost them that much. But that also makes them only need 1/3 of the rest to get to buy them.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

It's not , I posted a bunch of stuff in another thread but the quick facts are :

Ubisoft is valued at 4 Billion Dollars, EA would have to offer a substantial premium over that.
A huge chunk of Ubisoft voting stocks are held by private investors and are not for sale( the Guilmaut brothers that run Ubisoft).

Ubisoft stock has gone up 240% over the last 2 years while EA stock has been flat so EA would have a tough job convincing investors that they can run the company better than it is currently run...

Ubisoft is making money and their sales are improving dramatically ( up 44% on holyday quarter), EA has trouble just making a profit....

Heck even if EA was offering a 64% premium (which is what they are offering for Take Two) I woudn't take it as a Ubisoft shareholder. With AC2 and all the others games in the pipeline, Ubisoft is bound to appreciate by more than that in next 2 years.....

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Damn I didn't know that was true. So Nintendo must be advertising the hell out of their games to merit some of the top metascores ever.

It's your opinion Skate is not better. Plus you're judging it to THPS series iterations that came out many years ago. There have been like five other yearly Tony Hawk releases since then, and each has gotten progressivly worse. I do agree that early Tony Hawk is better than Skate.
