Apparently the next PS4 update will come earlier than some expected, and will include something more than stability improvements.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe just announced on Twitter that the next update, numbered 1.75, will be coming soon, and will add 3D Blu-ray support.

Nothing else has been shared at the moment, but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as the update is available.

Glad to see it, even if I won't be using the feature. Even if I did still watch discs, my ps3 would be my go to device for the foreseeable future. Nothing wrong with adding features, tho.

Yay, now I can watch my 1 3D blu-ray, if I had a 3D capable screen that is.

I wonder if it will fix the issue I had with Sunshine on blu-ray. It was stuck playing the main feature with pip behind the scenes enabled, while it was complaining that the player didn't support pip for the audio extra features. For now I'll keep my ps3 as a backup for my blu-ray library.
