That list was made back in 2009...

I'm pretty sure if it was remade the PS3 would rank in the top 10 and probably above both the Wii and the 360 thanks mostly to recent hits like The Last of Us and Journey.

IGN lists. Take 25 items and put them in a random order.

Even if it was made in 2009 that list is rather pathetic.

1. E.T. the Video game
2. E.T. the Movie
3. Some guy's pet Dog
4. Vita
5. Frozen

The problem with these lists is they're heavily influenced by nostalgia goggles rather than being objective comparisons of the quality of each product and their respective game libraries. The NES in 1st makes sense. It was a quality product, it had an amazing library, and it pretty much saved the gaming industry. Not my choice for 1st, but someone would be 100% justified in choosing it.

Almost everything after that seems completely random. There's no consistency at all. It's worth noting the age of the list, but still...

Attari 2600 over the PS2? OK, it was what kicked off console gaming, but it was nowhere near the PS2 in game library and quality.

Why does IGN suck so much?

And if this list was made in 2009, how the hell is the 360 above the PS1? It was hardly halfway through the generation with Gears and Halo as the biggest titles! WTF IGN?

At least they put Genesis above 360.
